June is just around the corner, which means ES Scholars (my favorite DEI program) is close enough to touch! Not only does our 3 week summer pipeline program prepare participants for the rigors of law school through two weeks of actual classes run by our amazing Emory law school professor, but it (i) helps participants understand how big law firms work, (ii) provides insight on areas of practice, (iii) helps build interviewing, networking, and resume drafting skills, and (iv) gives participants an understanding of the differences between law firm and in-house legal team careers. This is one post that really should be shared far and wide. 🙂

The #ESScholars 2024 application is here!   Established in 2005, ES Scholars is a three-week summer intensive program open to all (with a preference for those already admitted to law school) and designed to introduce people from backgrounds underrepresented within the legal industry to a career in law.   With cohorts in Atlanta, Washington DC and New York, the program curriculum consists of: → An introduction to contracts, legal writing and bluebooking classes taught by an Emory law professor. → Panel discussions on a variety of topics including navigating one’s law school experience, insight into the law firm recruitment process, exploring in-house careers with our client partner, and much more! → Networking with fellow ES Scholars, ES Scholars Alums, Eversheds Sutherland attorneys and other legal professionals.   Find more information about the program and the application here: https://lnkd.in/ezuggZSw
