Animal experimentation, while crucial, also raises ethical questions 🤔 And we must question its use when there are alternatives! Our latest blog post looks at the advantages of organs-on-a-chip over animal experimentation 🐁 These devices mimic human organs and are a better, faster, and cheaper option than animal experimentation! With this alternative, results are faster, saving time and resources. But more importantly, they offer a more human approach to research! 😻 If you'd like, the full article is here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gYKrDfc3 👩🔬👨🔬 #microfluidics #organonchip #ooc #biology

|| Post Graduate in Biochemistry(2024) || Keenly interested in Molecular biology, Cell culture and Clinical research ||
I am pleased to share that I attended and successfully completed a value-added course titled "Elevating Science - Unleashing the Potential of Animal Cell Culture" hosted by the Department of Biotechnology at MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce from 27th May, 2924 to 1stJune, 2024. The course included insights regarding the fundamentals of cell culture, animal cell culturing, media preparation for various types of cells, cell line handling, and other animal cell culturing-related topics. It was a very instructive workshop, and I received better information of the issue. #animalcellculturing

Wondering how you can contribute to the advancement of animal-assisted intervention research? Studies investigating the impact of therapy animals are becoming more and more sophisticated and rigorous, ultimately advancing our empirical understanding of the intervention. One of the ways this is being accomplished is through the application of randomized controlled trials, a complex research design that allows for more comparison of variables. Let science keep working | Without our research, less knowledge on animal health and zoonoses!! The proposed budget cuts in science will have a disastrous impact on our research. Without our research, there will be no solutions for the problems society is facing. We must not let that happen! Stop the budget cuts in science! If #bioprinting #animalcomponentfree organ models is your topic, register to our webinar and ask your questions to Prof. Jens Kurreck!
Bioprinting of organ models is widely considered as an alternative method to animal experimentation. While some current models and methodologies incorporate animal-derived elements, there's an exciting shift towards cleaner, more ethical practices. Join us for an exciting webinar, where Prof. Jens Kurreck will share about the first bioprinted liver model that is entirely void of animal-derived constituents and utilized in toxicity studies. The cells were adapted to FBS-free media, no animal material such as porcine trypsin or FBS-containing freezing media was used in the cell culture, and the bioink was free of frequently used animal components such as Matrigel, collagen or gelatin. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about Clean Bioprinting. 🗓️ Save the date: Tuesday, 16 April | 3 p.m. CEST | 9 a.m. EDT 📍 Register now: https://lnkd.in/dVs3pWUF #webinar #animalfree #bioprinting #livermodel Bioprinting Lab TU Berlin
