The ATO continues to receive reports of scams as the new financial year and tax time approaches. Reports include receiving emails or SMS and calls about a reimbursement or outstanding refund. The ATO and myGov will NEVER send emails or SMS asking you to click on a link to login or call you to confirm your personal information. Those are all scams trying to trick you into providing sensitive information so cybercriminals can have access to your financial data. Protect yourself and your hard earned money by following these three (3) simple steps!

As the SEC reporting requirements take effect, we will start to see more and more public companies report news of #cyberattack and possibly a #databreach or #ransomwareattack . Maybe the world will finally see the epidemic of attacks around the globe and clamp down on criminal groups and nation states that make this a business and a habit.
