Are women truly safe anymore? Imagine finding a hidden camera in your room. A place where you expect safety. But now, it’s filled with fear. Sadly this is happening... More and MORE. Recently a hidden camera was found. It was in a girls' PG in Bengaluru. This shocked everyone. And raised concerns. But... It’s not the only case. Incidents like this are increasing everywhere. We must ask an important question: "Are we doing enough to protect women?" Women always deserve to feel safe. - In their homes. - In their hostels. - In their workplaces. But without stronger laws, we are failing them. More awareness is also needed right now. Because privacy is not a privilege, it’s a right. Every woman deserves to feel safe. I experience another OMG moment. Yesterday. A lady reaches out to me out of the blue. After reading my blog about healing trauma through storytelling. She shares some research about the safety of women globally. And it opens my eyes. I'll warn you... The results may shock you. >50% of the population faces threats to their personal safety daily. That's a problem. Personal safety is a human right. This danger is so "normal" that some don't report it to the police. So what can you do? 1. Support your female friends and family. 2. Speak up against harassment and abuse. 3. Educate men and women about this topic. 4. Challenge societal norms that enable violence.
