These recaps will appear on ESPN's digital platforms and will be reviewed by human editors for quality and accuracy. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture, aims to provide more content for fans while allowing ESPN staff to focus on high-priority coverage. ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro emphasized the benefits of AI for sports fans, from automating highlights to personalized content delivery. We really value Reddit and our partnership with Ollie Wrighton. It rightly surged in our annual rankings for 2025. I'm proud of the innovative work our team - most notably Iain Liddle and Daniel Ayers - have done with our clients on this platform, where brands once feared to tread, but is now a vibrant and dynamic environment offering huge potential for those innovative and imaginative enough to take advantage. I'm not surprised that some organisations in sports have announced they are leaving X (though I think any exodus has been overblown). I am, however, surprised that some organisations which have announced they are quitting X, have used that moment to push their fanbase towards Bluesky. Nothing against Bluesky, but it's a comparatively tiny and certainly unproven platform. There are many other options, should an organisation no longer wish to use X, and Reddit is absolutely one of those. Rather than a lift-and-shift from Old Twitter to a Twitter clone (but with a tinier audience and a good number of unknowns), sports organisations should open their minds to a wider world of possibilities, and think innovatively about how to reach fans.
