Made it to the top of the Lake District with my trusty sidekick in tow! Who knew scaling mountains was so similar to crafting loyalty programs at Reward? Both require a good sense of direction, some strategic thinking, and the occasional treat to keep us going. At Reward, we use historical transaction data to help retailers boost customer engagement and loyalty. It's all about winning that share of wallet and increasing spend frequency, kind of like trying to convince my dog to choose the high road for our walk. We aim to tailor experiences that make our partners' customers feel right at home, just like my dog does on a comfy couch after a long hike. #Reward #LoyaltyPrograms #DataDrivenSuccess

Since my last post about celebrating customer loyalty got a grand total of… one comment😅, I thought I’d just go ahead and share what I did to celebrate anyway. To mark an amazing 10-year partnership, I hopped in my car with a giant personalized cookie (because who doesn’t love a good sugar rush?). Whether or not size matters is debatable—but when it comes to gestures, I love celebrating IRL. The best part? This wasn’t a one-time thing. As my book-of-business grows, I’m discovering more and more customers at Omnia Retail have been with us for years. Want to know why so many retailers and brands trust Omnia Retail as their pricing strategy partner? 🚀 Check out our success stories in link shared below 👇 #customerloyalty #pricing #retailers #dynamicpricing

McDonald's employees often handle situations where customers are unsure about ordering through up-selling, cross-selling, and down-selling strategies. Employees may offer recommendations based on customer preferences or previous order history, which McDonald’s can track using customer databases. For instance, if a customer seems undecided, an employee might suggest a combo deal (cross-selling) or encourage a larger size for a small additional cost (up-selling). This approach ensures a personalized experience and maximizes customer satisfaction while increasing sales, based on insights from the company's marketing database. This year we decided to ‘only’ onboard 15-20 new brands. And it’s a smart and strategic decision 🎯 Could we take on more brands from an operational perspective? Probably. We have the: 🏢 Warehouse space 🔄 Processes 👷 Staff to take on potentially 30-40 new brands this year. But we wouldn’t be able to deliver a personal customer experience to each one 💁♂️ And to us that’s everything. Our customer retention rate is very high 🤝 And I believe our personal service plays a big role in this. And we want to make sure it stays that way 👊 Which is why we set a limit of new brands for 2024 to ensure we can deliver a personal service to all our customers - both existing and new - as we grow. And to me that's just smart business 💡

Another retailer bites the dust. RIP Party City. Although definitely not the SOLE reason for closing, customer retention has definitely played a role. Check out my 2025 Customer Retention Playbook. Based on McKinsey data, customer loyalty is so low at retailers that they're willing to jump to a cheaper competitor. It was the only retention stat that grew from Q2 2024 to Q3 2024. Inflation, consumer confidence, and debt definitely didn't help. But when customers bail, that's the death blow. What do you think about Party City's demise? --- Follow me for the secret email, SMS and retention strategies of the top ecommerce brands. #emailmarketing #ecommerce #retentionnation
