In the rapidly advancing landscape of healthcare technology, video data has become an invaluable asset for medical professionals, researchers, and institutions. However, with this surge in the use of video data comes a pressing concern – the need to ensure patient privacy. Video anonymization in healthcare has emerged as a crucial solution to address this concern, striking a balance between harnessing the power of visual information and safeguarding the sensitive nature of medical data. Learn more about what video anonymization is and how we at medDARE ensure that video projects we're working on are anonymized properly. https://lnkd.in/eM7rrR-U #aiinhealthcare #videoanonymization #healthcaretechnology

Chief Information Security Officer, Arcadia | Strategic IT Security & Cybersecurity | Information Security & Assurance | IT Governance | Regulatory Compliance
Healthcare data contains a wealth of information that can help healthcare organizations achieve better patient outcomes and improve productivity. However, data availability and patient privacy has limited these applications. One way to address this is through the use of synthetic data. Synthetic data is produced using algorithms, and offers valuable insights without the identifiable information that makes it a potential security or privacy risk. While the technology isn't at the point where it could reasonably handle in-depth analytics or train medical machine learning models, there is reason to suggest the it cold be possible down the line, allowing for heightened patient privacy and improve outcomes alike. #HealthcareData #SyntheticData #DataPrivacy #Healthcare

Our own Tracy Mayne recently sat down with Web Sun to talk about the current state of clinical trials on the pharmaphorum podcast. One of the biggest potential paradigm shifts on the horizon is the elimination of placebo groups in some trials in favor of synthetic controls drawn from historic data. While this shift in methodology should allow more patients access to life-saving treatments, the devil is in the details. Implementing this kind of trial, getting the right data, and getting regulators to sign off are all serious challenges. Expect to learn: 👉 What exactly is meant by "real-world data" 👉 Where the data lives and what its quality is 👉 How the data can be made to function in a clinical trial 👉 Common hurdles in getting the FDA to accept conclusions 👉 Practical steps to create robust data while protecting patient privacy Listen here: https://lnkd.in/dyNqkx9Q

Healthcare organizations rely on patient data. Data availability and quality, alongside concerns about patient privacy and HIPAA compliance, have hindered these efforts. To overcome these challenges, some in the healthcare industry are advocating for the use of synthetic data, information that mimics real-world data (RWD) without compromising privacy. https://lnkd.in/ex6QMQPu
