I can’t think of a better time to share insights from KPMG's 24th Global Automotive Executive Report as we gear up for the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow. Auto executives have revealed a shift in perspective on EV transition and cost parity expectations with ICE equivalents. EV penetration outlook for 2030 across key markets has scaled back by at least 40% compared to 2 years ago, which we’re already seeing has led to significant changes in OEM investment priorities compared to where we were expecting to be by now. 🌟 Join us at the AutoShow: I'll be at the VIP night on Thursday, February 15th. Would be great to chat about the opportunities and challenges ahead in this exciting era of automotive innovation if you’re on the floor. 👉 Read the report: https://lnkd.in/eziyGiHw Your insights and perspectives are invaluable as we navigate this transition together. Looking forward to connecting with many of you at the AutoShow! #GlobalAutomotiveExecutiveReport #KPMG #AutoIndustry #EVTransition #CanadianInternationalAutoShow

🎸 “The automotive industry will dance to rock & roll for a while.” 🎶 Last week, I had the honor of attending for the first time the Reuters Events Automotive Europe 2024 conference in Munich where Mr. Tavares, CEO of Stellantis group, during a compelling opening keynote, perfectly captured the industry’s current dynamism with his above-mentioned metaphor. The conference spanned two days of highly engaging talks led by senior industry leaders and truly insightful discussions that delved into crucial topics shaping the automotive landscape. Here are a few key takeaways: 🔋 The future is electric, even though hybrid vehicles still play a crucial role during the transition. 🏭 OEMs have to focus on producing electric vehicles that are affordable, yet profitable. ⚡ eMSPs and CPOs need to ensure adequate charging infrastructure. However, it isn’t only about volumes; positioning, reliability, and interoperability matters. 📜 Policymakers should facilitate the transition towards electrification, providing stability rather than exacerbating the current turmoil. Amidst the transformative time, there are glimmers of opportunity. I am eager to contribute to this evolution by offering practical advice to navigate the forthcoming challenges, and I look forward to further discussions and collaborations as we steer towards a more safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly automotive future. #REAutoEU #MoreTogether
