Let’s be honest: when you’re in the car, are you really staring at billboards?
Or are you sneaking a peek at your phone, pretending that law “Not using your phone while driving law? (factually largely ignored)
Billboards used to be great for catching your attention. But now?
They’re more like background scenery while you scroll through memes, check out cat videos, or text your new side piece.
Sure, not everyone’s glued to their phone (Hi, responsible drivers!).
But let’s face it, a lot of people are. So, where does that leave our old friend, the billboard?
It’s clear that the way we capture attention has changed. As marketers, we need to think about where our audience's focus really is and how to engage them in those spaces.
I think Radio is under utilised these days. Cost effective too! (but that's another story)
