We achieved another important milestone. On Monday 11 December, as planned, we launched the second phase of the phased roll-out of our reservation system. Customers can now book online through the new website and booking platform of KM Malta Airlines www.kmmaltairlines.com The first phase opened on Monday 4 December 2023 for all travel agents, third-party online booking platforms and individual bookings through the airline’s Call Centre. All reservation channels are now open for bookings. I am also very pleased to announce that we received over 122,000 bookings in just one week between 4 December 2023 and 10 December 2023 for our Summer 2024 program. The number of forward bookings in the first seven days exceeded all expectations and demonstrates the attractiveness of our new network strategy and the effectiveness of our new fare structures. The high demand from travel agents and from third-party online booking platforms corroborates our earlier decision to implement a roll-out of our reservation system in a structured, risk managed and planned-phased manner for the benefit of our customers and sales partners. A very big well done to our Commercial, Marketing, IT, Corporate and Finance teams and to our digital and technology business partners Branchspace and SITA for delivering such a high-quality product and for being resolute in meeting the planned launch date. Digitization is a key pillar in the corporate strategy of KM Malta Airlines and the launch of our new website and booking platform is the first step.
