Exit is open. 👉🏻One in five physicians say it is likely they will leave their current practice within two years. Even scarier 👉🏻A new report shows 1 in 4 US medical students consider quitting, most don’t plan to treat patients because of concern for well-being. When asked by one of my daughter’s if she should become a doctor🤷🏻♀️ As we start a new week, let's reflect on the state of well-being in healthcare. While progress has been made, the challenges persist, and we're losing medical providers at an alarming rate. It's a reminder that we have a long way to go. In the pursuit of productivity, let's not forget the essence of a thriving healthcare culture—support, balance, and well-being. Smart business owners know productivity flows and employees are retained when they are happy and supported. As a medical provider, I've witnessed the negative effects of stress throughout my career, and I'm committed to being a force for positive change. If you're a medical provider grappling with stress or well-being, reach out. Let's reshape the narrative together. To organizations, let's acknowledge the urgency. We're not just losing providers; we're losing the heartbeat of healthcare. Every organization needs to change their culture and Pursue Life Coaching can help to catalyze this change in your organization. Let's collaborate and usher in a new era where well-being isn't just acknowledged; it's embedded in the fabric of healthcare. #ProviderWellBeing #PursueLifeCoaching

“There are so many different issues and challenges in healthcare that we all talk about and face on a regular basis. But how do you become part of the solution? I think this program is for people who want to be part of the solution. If you’re looking to challenge yourself to think differently, to think outside the box, and to shift to a solution-focused mindset, rather than saying, ‘Oh, this doesn’t work, and I’m sick of this,’ you should complete this program.” https://lnkd.in/eay2FDuy #healthcareinnovation #nursinginnovation

Strategic Hospital Administrator | Expert in Negotiation, Communication, Leadership, Team Management, Strategic Planning, Adaptability, Technology Proficiency, Collaboration, Financial Management, and Poetry Enthusiast
As a healthcare administrator, I’ve come to realize that my role goes far beyond managing systems and processes—it's about people. Every decision I make has a real impact on patients, their families, and the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to care for them. That’s what keeps me grounded and motivated each day. At Virtue Medical Hospital, I’m proud to work alongside a passionate team that’s committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Whether we’re implementing new technologies, improving patient rights, or enhancing our sanitation practices, our focus is always on how these changes can better serve our community. Healthcare isn’t just about curing diseases; it’s about creating a safe, supportive environment where people feel cared for, respected, and understood. I’ve learned that great healthcare starts with great leadership, but leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about listening. I spend a lot of time talking with patients, staff, and community members to understand their needs and concerns. This feedback helps us continuously improve and evolve. We’re all in this together, and I truly believe that the best solutions come from collaboration and a shared commitment to making healthcare accessible and equitable for everyone. As I look ahead, I’m excited to continue building systems that focus on preventive care, health education, and community outreach. Our goal is to not just treat illness but to promote wellness, offering hope and support at every step. #HealthcareLeadership #PatientCare #CommunityFirst #HealthcareThatCares #CompassionInAction

Virtual PA Services 🔹 Qualified Medical Doctor 🔹 Specialist PA Services for Private Practitioners, Coaches and Small Business Owners 🔹 Health and Wellness Admin Support 🔹 General Business Admin
During my career in healthcare, many of my colleagues have disliked, even resented, the non-clinical workload they are faced with day in and day out. Having worked under the very real pressures of frontline healthcare, I completely understand where that frustration comes from. It can be really challenging to balance clinical work with non-clinical tasks. It's not unusual for that work to make its way home with you at the end of the day. The word 'burden' is often used to describe the admin that piles up for busy professionals and business owners. But I love non-clinical work. I combine my attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills with an understanding of the health industry and a kind and caring manner. It’s more than just task management—it’s precision, adaptability, and the ability to navigate a wide variety of situations with a calm and measured approach. I tackle every task with the same level of care and precision that I did in the medical field. The result? More time and energy for my clients to focus on what matters most. I’m here to take the 'burden' of administrative work off the shoulders of busy professionals, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities. So, please get in touch and let me take the non-clinical weight off your shoulders. 💙 hello@gemmajacksonva.co.uk 💙 #VirtualAssistant #HealthProfessionals #WellbeingPractitioners #BusinessOwners

I rarely get on LinkedIn. Those of us in healthcare face many challenges, especially in management. There is one thing that has always been true of people you manage. If you are good to them, respect them, listen to them, and spend time with them; people will want to work for you. I think many spend so much time defending everything going on that they forget what their staff deals with. Spend a few shifts in the trenches and earn their respect. Managers that are distant typically have a lot of turnover. We recently did a staff survey in the hospital I work. Some are familiar with the CoSE survey. The department I direct had very high scores for the management role, staff feeling listened to and changes made from their concerns. It just got me thinking about what I’ve seen lead to low turnover and from a distance what has lead to high turnover in other departments or facilities. Many forget what it’s like to clock in for three to four 12 hour shifts each week. There’s rounding we do and walk throughs as managers/directors, but how about taking a patient load, being their charge nurse one day, or just floating and helping. I guarantee you earn respect, but you will also better appreciate what the staff you manage do each day.
