At David Lloyd Clubs, we're committed to helping our members achieve their wellness goals. We're thrilled to have received five Wellness Champion Awards in three years as the Most Active Fitness Clubs in Europe, UK and Germany, following #worldwellnessweekend. The most recent World Wellness Weekend from 20 to 22 September, saw 364,000 people participating in wellness activities at our 134 clubs across the UK sand Europe. As well as promoting wellness for our members, a selection of our clubs hosted an “Open Day” for non-members to help them discover wellness activities at our clubs, including signature group classes such as SPIRIT Sound Meditation, HIIT Classes and a selection of kids creative classes. My family and I have endured relentless harassment and financial harm due to DL’s mismanagement of their parking control system. Despite registering my car details multiple times, DL failed to inform their parking agents, leading to baseless fines and a barrage of debt collection letters, threatening my credit rating. Over 30 complaints were sent, yet DL ignored them, showing a shocking disregard for members’ well-being. Their deceptive promises of resolution misled me into attending, only for the harassment to continue. While DL responds swiftly to public complaints to protect their reputation, they neglect private ones, prioritising profits over people. This ordeal caused significant emotional distress, with my granddaughter no longer feeling safe to attend, and financial losses from paying for inaccessible services. Think twice before joining DL. Their failures could cost you emotionally, financially, and legally. As a family, we joined David Lloyd (DL), we’ve endured a year of stress, financial harm &emotional distress due to their parking mismanagement and disregard for members’ well-being. Our Experience Over the Past 12 Months: Parking Control Failures: DL repeatedly failed to pass on registered car details to their parking agents, resulting in baseless parking fines. This escalated to a relentless barrage of debt & Bailiff collection letters, threatening our credit rating & causing severe distress. Deceptive Promises of Resolution: On multiple occasions, DL assured us that the issue was resolved—but those promises turned out to be false. Believing them, we returned, only for the harassment to continue after every visit Ignored Complaints: We sent over 30 emails detailing these issues, but DL showed a shocking disregard for our concerns. No meaningful action was taken to resolve the problem DL addresses public complaints quickly to protect their image but ignores private member concerns—even those causing severe financial & emotional harm Financial Damage The ongoing harassment caused immense emotional distress & we paid for a membership we cannot even use Our granddaughter, once eager now refuses to return due to the ordeal
