Owner of Direct Shine - external cleaning specialists and a Chas/ISO9001/ISO14001 accredited contractor.
A question that is often asked is what do we do with the staff when the work quietens down a bit over winter…… Going into January/February/March additional services such as gutters and pressure washing can quieten down a fair bit. (Welcome to let everyone catch their breathe) Direct Shine then need to focus on ensuring our regular window cleaning clients are regularly cleaned. In winter the windows get dirtier due to the conditions so when we do get the daylight clients like clean windows to ensure the light gets in. Many companies will hire “seasonal staff” and basically let them go during these quieter times. Direct Shine do not do this, we keep our staff fully trained and with us all year round. This lets the staff know they have a safe job and one that won’t just last a few months, in turn letting us have a higher skilled work force all year round. We will at times carry staff through certain quieter periods to ensure we have a full work force ready to come into play when needed. The very reason we are incredibly loyal to our regular cleaning clients is they are loyal to us and always have been. They keep our staff in jobs all year round and in turn we guarantee them clean windows, pressure washed paths and free running gutters. No matter how big the job is that comes in we will always take care of our smallest residential client on our rounds even if the largest job needs to wait. This is what makes Direct Shine that little bit different 👌💪
