If Biden is not the candidate, then moving to VP Harris makes the most sense for a wide variety of reasons, but most of all because she will increase Democrats' chances of victory.
I cannot say that I agree with that. I think they can certainly run a candidate other than her to increase their chances of victory. However though, by not running her would be akin to shooting themselves in the foot and would exponentially demolish their chances of winning all together. The reality is, they are stuck with her whether they like it or not and the true test will be whether or not she can effectively run a 18 month campaign in less than 4 months. To be honest, I think with all of the political lawfare that has been deployed the past year or so, most of the folks in my circles are fed up with it. Nobody likes Trump, but they all agree that the party really went about it the wrong way and ultimately as an unintended consequence, Trump has become more likeable. All because of what they have done to him in the name of politics and by doing anything possible to secure a victory. My entire life, I never got into politics, the military life conditioned and required me to be apolitical and remain neutral with my words throughout my 21 year career. But even I can see that they did him wrong. I personally would like to see an elimination of the two party system, impose term limits with an entire overhaul of the Government.
