Memo to the President of the United States on AI + Energy. I wanted to share with my network the output of the Special Competitive Studies Project - SCSP AI and Energy Summit, which I was part of a few weeks ago. On September 26th, the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) hosted an invitation-only summit of the nations' 400 top policymakers, technologists, academics and energy industry leaders to discuss how America can maintain its competitive edge at the intersection of AI and energy. As Yril Byrakthari, Executive Director of the SCSP, put it ' Today we are bringing together the brightest minds from industry, academia and government to start a course forward [..] The decisions we will make today [..] will shape the future of AI and by extension the future of our nation for decades to come' For context, the SCSP is a Washington DC based bi-partisan think tank and direct successor of the White House National Security Commission on AI, which the National AI and Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Organization interfaced with. #artificialintelligence #energy #nationalsecurity #sustainability
