Effective studying is not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Each of us has a unique combination of methods, timings, and environments that work best for us. The key to discovering your perfect study routine lies in treating it like an experiment. Think of your study routine as a science experiment. You are the scientist, and your objective is to figure out what works best for you. You’ll need to hypothesize and test different variables such as where you study, when you study, and how long you study. Start by coming up with a hypothesis: “I think studying in the morning will help me retain more information,” or “I believe studying in a quiet environment will improve my concentration.” The idea is to identify one aspect of your study routine that you think might make a difference. Just like in a science experiment, you don’t want to change too many variables at once. Focus on one variable at a time and see how it goes. You could try studying at different times of the day, varying the duration of your study sessions, or changing up your study location. After each study session, take time to reflect on how effective it was. Did you retain more information? Were you more focused? Write down your observations to help you determine what works and what doesn’t. Continue experimenting by adjusting one variable at a time. The more you tweak and test, the closer you’ll get to your ideal study routine. Yes You CAN Pass the CPA Exam! 💫Dawn #Cpajourney #cpalife #cpastudying #futurecpa

STORY TIME: --- One day, a professor walked into the classroom with an unexpected announcement: the upcoming exams would be open book. The students could bring any reference materials they wanted. At first, this seemed like great news, especially for those who hadn't kept up with the coursework. However, those who had studied diligently were disappointed. They felt that their hard work was being undervalued. Despite their concerns, the professor's decision stood, and the open book exams began. Initially, everyone felt a sense of relief. No more late nights memorizing formulas or cramming facts. They could just look up the answers during the test. But then something unexpected happened. The students who usually worked hard started to slack off. "Why bother studying," they thought, "when we can just look it up?" Those who never studied much to begin with, saw no reason to change their habits. They relied even more on their notes and books during the exams. Over time, the effects became clear. The high achievers saw their top scores decline. The overall class average dipped. Instead of striving for excellence, everyone settled into a pattern of mediocrity. The challenge was gone, and so was the drive to excel. There was no reward for hard work, and no punishment for lack of effort. This experience taught an important lesson: If there is no reward for hard work or punishment for a lack of effort, the quality of work suffers. Reward for good work matters. It pushes people to aim higher, do better, and reach their full potential. Without it, even the best can become complacent, and mediocrity becomes the norm. Let this story be a reminder in professional and personal pursuits. Striving for excellence requires both motivation and challenge. Without these, we risk settling for less than we are capable of achieving. ---

For those who are preparing for any competition exams here are some of the things which I followed would like to share with you all too. 1. Complete all your lectures on time like following disciplined time table and not procasting things to future saying abhi toh bht time hai ..nhi h hmare pass time we all have limited time and we have to make best use of our time and resources. Compeleting the lectures and going through the same before you start the next lecture. It’ll definitely help you, I didn’t followed it, so look more time to recall things during my revision time. 2. Doing timely revision of things like your first revision within 24 hours next in 1 week then in 1 month likewise this will help you retain concepts for long. As the number revision increases time to revise same concepts will keep on reducing. Also prepare short notes for last days revision in advance. 3. Have a look on ABC analysis and past year papers, it will definitely help you in your preparation. With the help of ABC analysis you will get overview of what all topics or chapters covers maximum weightage and you can plan accordingly. 100% syllabus covergae is not important but, are you able to solve problems based on the topics covered is more important. 4. As we all know CA is a course which needs hardwork, patience and consistency, so be consistent in your doings. And it is said every little drop of water counts so each single effort made by you will make difference in your result. And studying doesn’t mean that you are just sitting with books open and you are lost somewhere you are physically and mentally there only while studying. Quantity doesn’t matters but quality matters so jitna pdha mn lga kr pdho! If you re distracted just take a break and get back to work! 5. Plan your day in advance like in the beginning of the day or at the previous night. Planning to fail is failing to plan. Planning alone can’t help you until and unless you execute your plans, so execution of plans is necessary. Hardwork alone is not sufficient one has to do smartwork as well. Focusing more on important areas than less important but give a reading to all topics, ye ICAI anything can happen here. So be prepared for the worst as well. Stay grounded and don’t forget your roots! Hope I might be able to help you all. Feel free to connect me.

🎓📚Reflecting on My Educational Journey: The True Essence of Learning🎓📚 As I recently completed my double master's, I had an enlightening realization about the nature of learning. I want to share this insight with you all, hoping it might resonate with some of you. During my undergraduate years, my primary focus was on achieving a high CGPA and securing the gold medal. While I did manage to achieve an excellent CGPA and the summa cum laude award, I felt a lack of satisfaction within myself. My focus on grades overshadowed the essence of academia: genuine learning and growth. It was during my first master's program that my perspective began to shift. I delved deeper into research, innovations, and the process of genuine learning and experimentation. I understood that the real value lies in the process of learning, making mistakes, and learning from them. I became an independent learner, embracing my mistakes as learning opportunities and gradually building my confidence. Though my CGPA may not have been as outstanding as during my undergraduate years, the knowledge and confidence I gained were invaluable. I learned that focusing on one aspect alone is not sufficient. Balancing learning, research, experimentation, and maintaining strong academic performance became my new approach. This balanced approach truly paid off during my recent master's program at the University of Calgary. I dedicated myself to learning, researching, experimenting, and also striving for an excellent CGPA. The result? A rewarding research experience for my thesis and a perfect CGPA of 4 out of 4 for my coursework. This experience reaffirmed my belief that hard work does pay off, but more importantly, it taught me the importance of embracing experimentation and learning from mistakes. Remember, every success and failure contributes to your growth and wisdom. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, make mistakes, and learn from them. In the end, these experiences shape you, making you stronger and wiser. #Learning #PersonalGrowth #Education #HardWork #Research #Experimentation #UniversityOfCalgary
