Being part of a team is a rewarding experience that combines individual skills with collective strength. Collaborative opportunities allow each member to contribute their unique talents, creating a dynamic where diverse perspectives drive innovation. Success in a team is not just about personal achievement but the shared journey toward a common goal. By supporting one another and embracing teamwork, each contributor plays a vital role in the overall success of the group. Together, we accomplish more than any one individual could on their own. I’m grateful to be a part of a wonderful team and organization. We learn, grow, develop and strive to be the best we can be together. As we look toward the future, the opportunities for growth and success are limitless. Being part of a team allows us to harness collective strengths and build on shared experiences, ensuring that each milestone is a stepping stone toward even greater achievements. With a mindset focused on continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, we not only contribute to the present but also lay the foundation for sustained success. Together, we are shaping a future that promises personal and professional growth, driving us to reach new heights as a team and I’m here for it. Grateful for each day at this firm. Understanding Your Purpose at Work 3 Different Orientations 🔵 Work as a calling For some, work serves as a calling, a profound avenue through which we seek to make a positive difference in the world. It's about more than just a paycheck; it's about feeling a deep connection to our daily tasks, seeing them as integral to our identity and purpose. When we say, "My work makes the world a better place," we're acknowledging the fulfillment derived not merely from accomplishments but from the work itself. Our source of energy in this paradigm is a strong organizational purpose, aligning personal values with our professional endeavors to create a meaningful impact. This perspective transforms routine tasks into pieces of a larger puzzle, contributing to a vision far beyond the immediate. 🔵 Work as a career Conversely, some view work primarily as a career, a ladder of advancement within their profession or organization. This viewpoint is driven by a desire to build skills and develop professionally, where the journey of growth and gaining influence becomes a significant source of meaning. Statements like, "I find meaning in developing myself at work, I work for advancing and more influence," underscore the pursuit of personal and professional evolution. Here, the source of energy is growth and development, fueled by milestones of achievement and the aspiration to ascend in one's career. It’s about leveraging every opportunity as a stepping stone towards greater responsibilities and achievements, where success is measured by the heights one reaches. 🔵 Work as a job Lastly, there are those for whom work is primarily a job, a means to earn a living and support themselves and their families. This perspective prioritizes work-life balance, emphasizing the importance of time spent outside of work, in personal connections, and engaging in fulfilling activities. The mantra "I work to make a living, I find meaning outside of work" reflects a pragmatic approach to employment, where work is a necessity rather than a calling or a career ladder. The source of energy here is the ability to maintain a harmonious balance between professional duties and personal life, ensuring that work funds the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment in other areas of life.

Have you heard about the AprilAire Customer Service Development Program? Senior Customer Service Manager Becky Ryan created the program to give Customer Service and Technical Product Support employees the opportunity to explore professional interests, build skills, and connect with teams across the organization through part-time, project-based opportunities. Over three years, it has successfully enabled career growth, with some participants transitioning to full-time roles in areas like Engineering, IT, and Marketing! Logan Meier, who recently collaborated with Senior Product Manager Heather Hartwig and team, had this to share about his recent experience: “There was so much I got to do in conjunction with this project. Between having the opportunity to be physically present in Sun Prairie, taking part in weekly marketing meetings, or getting to observe Heather in her role, the benefits of participating in something like this are endless. I’ve built connections, improved my presentation skills, and uncovered interest in a new area.”
