🚀 Exciting news! In just 2 weeks, I’ll be speaking at the Berlin dbt Labs Meetup hosted at Enpal's office. The topic? "𝗧𝗵𝗲 (𝗻𝗼𝗻) 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗯𝘁". Since April 2019 after Stephan Durry introduced it at our company, dbt has been a key component of my data stack, helping streamline data transformation. But in my freelance practice guitton.co, I’ve often found myself explaining its value to leads and clients who may not fully grasp its impact. From my Mastodon (It is like X/Twitter but better): I took three members to the team for hackathon, sadly,  they don't do anything. (=゜ω゜) I have been researching about masking of private data for  hachathon. This task include two subtasks: 1) search and classification of private data 2) plausible masking of private data with or without  ability for reverse unmasking. ░░░░░░░░▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓████████░▏99.9% I have been at interview today. I was asked to solve  problem. Finally they tell me that I failed because time  complexity of search a key in hash table is O(1) and it  it the best that could be and tree search is musch more  slow, because BTS have O(log n). Wrong! 1) The time complexity of searching for a key in a  hash table is a common source of confusion, and the  answer is not as simple as O(1) or O(n). 2) Real time, may be constant but large by itself for  large data. 3) Enhahce hash function is a solution in context of hash  table paradigm. This old binary search trees and hash tables can be  enhanced with modern vector search techniques  and clustering for specific tasks.

It’s a wrap on our quarterly internal hackathon.  Our team focused on using Databricks to recreate an open access research paper.  We are considering it a success because of the learning and collaboration that took place.  This experience has not only deepened our technical skills but also strengthened our team bonds.
