Over the course of my career, I've interviewed many people, and each one truly means something to me. I have to say though, this feature for DC BLOX was a culmination of many subjects that are near and dear to me. So much happened between the lines of this video that I can only scratch the surface. For instance, the greenhouse featured is actually a smart building with a unique set of controls, and as a hobby-farmer (ahem, prepper) who has studied seed breeding for genetic attributes and germination techniques, knowing the implications for their light spectrum and climate control was its own impressively cool factor. And from a personal study of diet changes from paleo to modern times, it's really remarkable how our food can alter or activate different genes, for good and bad. For instance, if a genetic test has revealed that you're prone to certain illnesses, food truly is medicine. HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is at the forefront of research that supports these initiatives! Then you add in the data side and that my company gets to support them--look out! This was fun on both a personal level and professional. Scott Ross, CISSP is incredibly knowledgeable and a delight to learn from. I hope you take the time to watch it and see if your organization can benefit from similar support.
