What are the types of Infertility? Infertility is typically classified into two main types: primary and secondary infertility. 1. Primary Infertility Primary infertility refers to couples who have never been able to conceive after at least one year of unprotected intercourse (or six months if the woman is over 35 years old). 2. Secondary Infertility Secondary infertility occurs when a couple who has previously been able to conceive and bear a child is unable to do so again after one year of unprotected intercourse (or six months if the woman is over 35 years old). Infertility Survivor, Now I support women and couples facing Infertility to thrive Beyond | Holistic Fertility Counselor | Certified Life Coach @Moms Qavah | Isaiah 40:31
What most people think about Infertility ‼️ Many people think Infertility means a woman is barren and will never be able to have biological children whereas for a man they think he is impotent and will never be able to impregnate a woman!! Refer to the story of Abraham and Sarah in the Bible. Genesis 17:1-19. You will be amazed at how life events are repetitive in nature🤔 It's sad how so many people stigmatize the Infertility victims simply because they associate it with being cursed or being under spiritual attack among others which maybe the case in some instances but we sure can extend Grace and offer support! It is already hard enough to go through this imagining that you will never bare a child of your own 😔 Often times I wonder why the same doesn't happen to victims of Cancer, Kidney failures among others. Usually they receive the Grace and Empathy because they are known to be sick and suffering from a disease. I believe the same can happen for the victims of Infertility. Well according to World Health Organization (WHO) Infertility is a disease that affects both male and female reproductive system. For information on this head over to my Newsletter titled "Creating Infertility awareness Series 1" We should interest ourselves in learning more about Infertility so that together we can build a support community that is fully aware of the causes and struggles of Infertility. This will allow the victims feel better and restore hope for a better Future. Yesterday I was privileged to attend A Dare to Glow Event here on LinkedIn by Joyceloy Kyompire (Dare To Glow Coach) where the Guest Wafa Mohammed mentioned something that struck me " There is no right or wrong way of doing anything but there is a better way of doing things" how powerful!✨ Let's embrace practicing these core values consistently: ✅Empathy ✅ Responsibility ✅ Resilience ✅ Optimism The world 🌎 will be a better place to live in. Follow through for more of this insightful content on Infertility and let's learn together 🧑🤝🧑👭👬👫 #thesereneintrovert🕊️ #Infertility #InfertilityAwareness #Infertilitysupportgroup #globallinkedinbootcampwithmuthoni

Have you been reading our founder's Infertility Memoir on We Are The Mighty? This week's chapter talks about our organization's origins. Let us know what you think in the comments! Can you relate to her journey? "This dream that had been on the back of my heart for some time, yet one I hoped someone else would do, was becoming a reality. Each step forward in this launch took me one step closer to what I now realize was the purpose of my own infertility journey, to create a space of support and empowerment for our community as they navigate their family-building journey." https://lnkd.in/gjQpSgcx

The battle of Him Vs Her 💃🏻🤺Exploring emotional landmines in infertility. Sharing triggers and anchors. Couple’s face and infertility diagnosis differently. They think differently about it and they definitely allow it to occupy different spaces in the brain. 🙋♂️Men are generally more optimistic, rational, unemotional and pragmatic about the journey. They share less, and avoid more. They can separate different life events into boxes on their brain. Some boxes are always open like work calls, or golf, but other boxes are better left unopened, like discussing fertility with their wife and friends. 💁🏼♀️Women tend to lead the way. They drive the process. They aren’t good at wiring generally, so their different boxes are all interconnected in their brain and each decision impacts the next. Infertility occupies a large part of their identify, their values and their dreams of the future. They want to talk- if not to friends, at least to their husband. There needs to be communication with compromise. Discussions about mutual expectations, but most of all listening and containing. Join IFAASA - THE INFERTILITY AWARENESS ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA Antonio Rodrigues from Medfem Fertility Clinic for a discussion on Zoom on how to manage these differences. #couplecounseling #marriagecounseling #mensmentalhealth #infertility #reproductivemedicine #ivf #infertilitysupport
