It is likely that if you are reading this post on this platform you have either heard or said the words "people (young people) don't want to work anymore". Scott Galloway offers some sobering perspective about the current landscape of opportunity for younger generations. I don't believe they lack work ethic. Their hustle looks different because their opportunity prospects look different than my own generation's did, or those of my parents generation. Social media has facilitated a habit of people judging too quickly, and finding echo chambers to entrench us in our perspective without understanding divergent thinking. #foodforthought #DEI #perspective #opportunity #generationaldivide

| Coaching Corner Highlight | Denise and I originally connected during my graduate studies, when she was pursuing her undergraduate degree in Special Education. We had a mentorship relationship at the time, and connected over a few shared interests, including dance, spirituality, and cultural curiosity. Eight years later, after losing touch, she reached out saying she was in a transitional spot and was looking for encouragement around some big life choices. It felt like no time had passed, and I realised her longing for a more fulfilling and expansive life. She needed someone she trusted to say “yes, it is possible and you are not wrong for wanting more.” Despite following all the rules her family and society had encouraged her to pursue - marriage, further education (PhD), and a stable home - there was something missing. These external representations of happiness later reveal an internal world that needs to be discovered. Since the first call, and various coaching conversations, Denise has boldly said yes to things like; divorce, returning to dance, embracing a deeper mind-body-spirit connection, deepening her knowledge about the chakra system, and a new relationship with a more aligned partner. She said yes, and guided herself through this transformation. Now, she wants to integrate her depth of knowledge of research methods with her interest in becoming a spiritual coach and entrepreneur. Do you feel that you followed someone else’s expectations for your life, and were left disappointed or disillusioned? Thinking - is there more than this? Let’s chat! Book a free discovery call to explore how my Vision Activation coaching program can help you to achieve your personal and professional goals, or drop me a note at elizabeth@elizabethscutchfield.com #coaching #VisionActivation

Time represents an optimally great resource, but unfortunately I am convinced that most people don't know it. It ranks second just after our health—the most essential resource—and, when used wisely, time constitutes the key to achieving remarkable accomplishments. All of history’s stunning achievements have been attained through the effective use of time. Successful individuals have leveraged time to reach their goals, demonstrating that with good health and smart time management, anything is achievable—even without an abundance of other resources like money. There are people who have revolutionized their lives, starting with zero but strategically exploiting time. But there exist no examples of people who have squandered their time and accomplishment remarkable attainments! Creating the beat of "Hardships" at https://lnkd.in/dvtieARV, we intended to cultivate this mindset—people should not let challenges define them, but instead, use those challenges as stepping stones to personal growth and achievement, starting with what they have and where they are, leveraging their health and time which is evenly distributed to all of us.

We have entered Q3 of Six Seconds calendar and we are talking PURPOSE, we are investigating our WHY, how to build it and how to grow it. I personally feel meaning in social contribution, social impact. And there are so many ways in which I can express this, from my job to poetry, from tai chi to walking my dog. Why? is such a powerful question. It can remain unanswered, and one can ruminate on it an entire life. And yet what really matters is the pulling that it creates, the process it plunges us in, the direction it encourages and challenges us to identify. If you haven't started this Why Journey yet, or you have and you'd like to join companions, there are plenty of Six Seconds Network Leaders out there ready to share their purpose. You can find them here; https://lnkd.in/ee9fEmFt Many are serving Six Seconds Europe and are hosting free online and in person EQ workshops (so called EQ cafes) in several countries. In today's polarized world, political discussions can feel like walking through a minefield. But what if I told you that these conversations could actually strengthen your relationships instead of tearing them apart? Here's why mastering the art of diplomatic debate matters: • It preserves friendships. By approaching political discussions with respect and empathy, you can maintain strong connections even with those who hold different views. This skill is invaluable in both personal and professional spheres. • It broadens your perspective. When you engage in thoughtful, fact-based dialogue, you open yourself up to new ideas and viewpoints. This expanded worldview can lead to personal growth and more informed decision-making. • It reduces stress and conflict. By learning to manage emotions and find common ground, you can transform potentially heated arguments into productive conversations. This not only makes social interactions more enjoyable but also contributes to your overall well-being. I'm developing a framework for navigating political discussions that actually deepens friendships. Would you be interested in learning how to turn potential conflicts into opportunities for connection? #civildiscourse #respectfulconversations #disagreeingwithrespect #ConstructiveDialogue #healthydebates #CommunicationSkills #phillipblackett #menslife #manhood #masculinity #thefalliblemanpodcast #personaldevelopment #selfimprovement

To reach…to extend ourselves…to raise our voice… to expand beyond what we’ve always known in search of real progress. To stretch the limits and burst past comfort in search of possibility… to offer our hands, our time, our commitment, our experience- To fearlessly step forward, to bridge gaps and connect chasms. To even dare fate to match our vision and meet us where we stand… to value the bigger picture and see our place in it…to inspire ability in others… to unite, to honor…to see and challenge what could be… You can’t wait around for someone else to do it. The truth is, YOU have walked the paths, invested the time, did the work, showed up to address the issues and unified communities all along the way. YOU have been prepared to speak up, to step up and to lift up others in your arena. When the realization comes that “YOU must be the Change you want to see in the world.” You take the job, answer the call and be the Bridge you always wished for. My passion is connecting people in quality learning experiences and as I keep inching forward- with many mighty colleagues from each Organization I’ve held the privilege to be a part of, my ability to make a difference increases. I work in Business of Education and Organizational Excellence! I connect people with resources, infuse teams with connection and lift organizations to become their best. I build onramp opportunities and design learning experiences to make a global (and deeply personal) impact! This is me acknowledging that it takes bravery to get ready to reach- stretch- speak- stand and to do it again and again. But Therein lies the growth! However this message finds you, let’s take a deep breath and take another step forward because together, We are the Change we want to see!
