Funding limitations often prevent CBDOs from addressing issues at a systemic or root cause level in the communities they serve. Moreover, research reveals that CBDOs serving communities of color face similar negative effects from prevailing narratives as the residents themselves. What are these narratives, and how can organizations collaborate with residents to change them and advocate for practical solutions?
