🌍 Solar Key Cyprus Hanna Zotieva had the honor of attending the EU Sustainable Investment Summit - the premier annual event of the European Commission dedicated to sustainable investment. It commenced in 2021 following the launch of the European Green Deal, which sets the ambitious goal for Europe to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, and the European Green Deal Investment Plan, aimed at unlocking the investments and financing necessary to achieve this objective. 🔆 The summit covered the following topics: 🔎 Advancing alternative energy sources and developing renewable energy technologies. 🔎 Establishing sustainable infrastructure to enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions. 🔎 Implementing projects to minimize environmental impact and adapt to climate change. 🔎 Attracting investments in renewable energy and promoting the development of energy-efficient technologies. 🔎 Expanding energy infrastructure to support the growth of green energy production and consumption. 🔆 Solar Key Cyprus steadfastly pursues its mission to advance sustainable energy solutions on the island. IRENA is the lead intergovernmental agency for the renewables-based energy transition in pursuit of a systemic change across the energy sectors. This partnership, signed by Africa50's Alain Ebobissé and IRENA's Francesco La Camera, will boost renewable energy projects across the continent.With the support of various global donors and institutions, this investment will finance and co-finance vital energy transition projects, aligning with Africa's dual objectives of reducing emissions and accelerating economic development. This collaboration underscores Africa50's commitment to a sustainable future, leveraging the ETAF platform to combat climate change and drive transformative renewable infrastructure.
