High-Precision Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing Process https://lnkd.in/g4NfhdNE In the production process of FPC, the DES process plays a crucial role. The DES process mainly includes three steps: Developing, Etching, and Stripping. What these three steps do is explained in detail below: Developing Action: The main purpose of the development step is to remove the dry film that has not been irradiated by UV (ultraviolet light), while retaining the dry film that has been irradiated by UV and undergone a polymerization reaction, thus protecting the line to be formed. Etching Function: The etching step is to remove the copper layer that is not protected by the dry film on the basis of development to form the required line, which is the core part of the FPC board. Stripping Function: The film removal step is to completely remove the dry film covering the line after the completion of etching, exposing a clear copper line, providing the basis for subsequent surface treatment, welding and other processes. Summary: DES process plays a crucial role in the FPC production process. Through the precise control of the three steps of development, etching and film removal, the line on the FPC circuit board can be ensured to be accurate and clear, providing a strong guarantee for the quality and performance of the product. At the same time, the high efficiency and stability of DES process also provides a strong support for the mass production of FPC. #fpc #pcb #printed #circuit #board #engineering #electronnics #supplier #tech #innovation #fabrications #flexibility #rigidflexpcb #flexpcb #company

Contrary to what many in the electronics industry may be aware of, North American printed circuit board (PCB) production is only a small segment of global PCB production. Below are some PCB manufacturers that contribute to larger, global PCB production capacity, in no particular order: NOK Corporation (Japan) Zhen Ding Technology (China/Taiwan) TTM Technologies (US) Unimicron Technology (Taiwan) Compeq Manufacturing (Taiwan) Ibiden (Japan) Tripod Technology (Taiwan) Daeduck (South Korea) AT&S (Austria) Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board (Taiwan) There is only one US PCB manufacturer in the above list. The vast majority of global PCB manufacturing is dominated by companies outside North America and include countries like China, Japan, South Korea, Austria, Italy...which are not part of IPC's North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program. Meanwhile, the May 2024 findings from IPC's North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program reveals its PCB book-to-bill ratio stands at 0.95 with total North American PCB shipments in May 2024 down 6.8% vs same month last year. And, compared to the preceding month, May shipments were down 16.5%. “The sluggish growth in the PCB industry reflects broader economic headwinds and likely signals a period of slower growth,” said Shawn DuBravac, IPC’s chief economist.
