I have to give Priority1's recruiting team some props for how relentlessly they contact our sales reps at Muse Freight with "agent opportunities." Despite my team and me telling them to knock it off, they continue. My time in Corporate America taught me how to NOT treat employees. As a result, the culture here at Muse matches our unmatched compensation plan. In turn, nobody is leaving Muse for a competing brokerage, especially one with a less-than-stellar reputation as a 1099 agent. Once again, it isn't complicated. We haven't reinvented freight brokerage. Pay the top talent what they're worth and everybody wins. #freightbrokerage #3pl

It saddens me to think that an existing management teams can’t come up with innovative or progressive ways to keep the unions away. Having been a laborer, myself, I often saw coworkers giving their “just enough” to keep management off their back and choose to remain ignorant about their benefits. Regarding “company benefits”. Friends, those are designed to cost the company as little as possible while providing a sense of security for each of us. It is the job of management to provide as helpful a benefits package to suite their entire workforce, but let’s be realistic. We all have different needs. Often, not always, a you person views themselves as bullet proof. They see little value in participating in a healthcare benefits package. Most companies do little to educate their employees on the benefits of their 401K plans. Wake up call! it’s only a deferred retirement plan. Yes, that’s right look into that, however, take the money, just don’t think it is retirement planning. One size does not fit all. If you took the money you’re taking from your paycheck to pay the union, and paid yourself by getting a proper financial advisor, a fiduciary. You will probably be better off.

Today, we celebrate Labor Day. Labor Day honors the contributions and achievements of American workers. As Americans, we work hard because we are self-motivated by the promise that here, we can do or be anything we set our mind to. So, in celebration of that work, today we rest. It is also an opportunity to refocus our aspirations. What is that dream? What is it that I am working so hard to achieve? If there were no obstacles, what do you want your life to look like?
