Going to bed in your clothes saves time tomorrow morning. — Long Access Ramp and Intermediate Landings. — Children who go to bed in their clothes are ten times more likely to start building cubby houses before anyone else the next day. Well, that’s an unusual statistic, but it’s true. It’s true because it’s about me. It’s my statistic. At an early age, l worked out that if you get prepared for the next day the night before, you gain time to do more of what you wanted to do the next day. Simple right? I learned then, as l can now articulate, that if you remove obstacles from the path you want to travel, you can achieve your tasks and do the work worth doing as well as the essential things. This can be true for customers who want to be served by being informed on their purchase journey. This can be true of leaders who create task lists with operational systems for employees instead of job descriptions. This can be true of employees who trial small improvements as they work sharing them when a willing ear from leadership is available. One thing’s for sure: sleeping in tomorrow’s clothes will be uncomfortable unless you’re a yoga teacher who wears organic cotton breathable attire. Somehow, though, this ‘uncomfortable’ can lead to purpose, meaning and fulfilment as you choose to do the work that matters for the people you serve. There will always be obstacles, but when we all agree that obstacles exist, we can make things better. Everyone benefits. __ I’m Dean HOMICKI from Stæbl Academy. Nice video Dean showing some features of the accessible ramp. I photograph many of these as well. I am on the AS1428 committee. The lack of evaluation of many things in society is astonishing. For example I don't know of any in-field account of (a) how many things actually comply, (b) what the common flaws are if any and (c) the big one - does the initiative overall make a difference to anyone and if so what aspects are most useful?

Put on four pairs of undies at the start of the month. Take the outside one off each week. Saves time.
