America has massive competitive advantages over other countries as a place to do business. Among them are a stable and predictable rule of law; a pluralistic society; a culture of risk-taking, individualism, and optimism; a belief that everyone has rights that must be protected, that government has an important -- but limited -- role, an idealism that, together, we will build on the advances of the past to create an ever-more free, open, accepting, fair, and perfect union. This July 4th, all of it is at risk. It doesn't have to be that way. The future belongs to those who build it, not to the cynics or the critics or those who say "what does it matter what I do?" America is worth celebrating. Let's celebrate it today. And let's -- each and every one of us -- recommit to the hard work ahead. Happy Independence Day.

We the people have a responsibility to make America great again. In times like this we need to reflect on the progress we have made down the years. We the people deserve a America that all men are created equal. We deserve an American were opportunities are endless no matter your race creed or political affiliation. We the people deserve leadership that represents our values. We the people deserve an honest leader who can rally and inspire others to want more. We need leadership that can lead. We have become to accustomed to being silent when something happens that clearly isn't right. We can and will raise out of this halls of division and realize we need each other. Hate and disrespect in all forms need not become our norm. We the people denounce violence in all forms. This is a very important election coming up. Let's make sure when we vote that our country will to be great is acknowledge. We are all responsible to make America greater than ever. We can't rest history but we can show history that we the people have evolved from a divided country to a nation that honors democracy.

Ask yourself if this remotely resembles our modern form of government? Do our individual liberties and personal freedoms still hold to the Founders’ vision? Moreover, the united, egalitarian and morally robust republic de Tocqueville observed and at which he marveled, is that still reflective of our modern America? If not … what does it take to recapture the principles upon which we were founded? What does it take to restore unity and love of country? What does it take to again become “one nation, under God”? What does it take to stop the political rancor and remember that we are ALL together Americans first?

At the 2004 Democratic National Convention, Barack Obama passionately spoke about the American story being one of unity in diversity. The quote "Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilization," often attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of togetherness and community. This message feels particularly relevant today, especially in light of recent election outcomes both in the Netherlands and around the world. As the US presidential elections approach, it is my hope that unity in diversity will once again be a central theme, championed by leaders who prioritize connection, cooperation, and a shared vision for a bright and inclusive future. Messages of hate and division only lead to further conflict and suffering. We have witnessed the devastating consequences of such rhetoric throughout history. Instead of waiting for another crisis to force us into action, we must proactively choose to build peace and unity in our communities. Let's take the initiative to prevent conflicts and foster a sense of community wherever we go. We need leaders who, like Barack Obama and Mahatma Gandhi, inspire hope, calm, and unity. Leaders who promote peacebuilding and collaboration, and who can navigate international relations with a steady hand towards a more harmonious world. Great Dividers ARE NOT Builders because they miss the fundamental fact that Americans of Every Line bring the value of their uniqueness to the Joins on Exceptional Teamwork its what Makes it Work Better that above those lines we understand that it is what we build together that is Unique and Special in Value. Further that the Constitution and Our Independence celebrates the join of Rugged Individualism and Shared Accountability to the Greater Outcomes of Exceptional Teamwork.
