As Schools return back for the new academic year, OFSTED school grades have now been changed. Surely this is for the better and will make a fairer system of how schools will be judged in the future and giving more support to headteachers after the tragic death of Ruth Perry. #jdsrecruitment #education #educationrecruitment #recruitment #schools #school

What are the top primary schools in the UK? Primary schools should be more fun to help to bridge the attainment gap in the wake of the pandemic, according to top head teachers. The Sunday Times Parent Power league table of the best primary schools in England shows that schools in London and the southeast are continuing to dominate the top rungs. Four of the top ten schools — ranked on the percentage of pupils who achieved their expected grade in the 2023 Sats tests — are in the capital. 🔗 Read the full list of rankings: https://lnkd.in/gXc7XXmT

OFSTED are abolishing their One Word Grading system 🤔... It's hard to imagine that a one word grade can encapsulate the months and years of effort Teachers and Staff put into their students and their art. Some welcome this reform with it being deemed crucial to the development of students, whilst others think the basic system worked... A full 'Report Card' will be accessible for all parents to see their children's' school's progress and grades across many categories. These include but aren't limited to 'Quality of Education' and 'Behaviour and Attitudes'. I personally agree with the reform, and believe the all-encompassing approach being adapted from here on is necessary. Teachers deserve to have their efforts recognised and published, whilst parents deserve fair knowledge before choosing a path for their children. Let's hope this leads to a more comprehensive and supportive education system for our children 🏫😄 💚 Below I have linked an article from the BBC detailing the reform, and possible outcomes! I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/e7-pQbd2 #RibbonsReeves #EducationRecruitmentExperts #OFSTED

Ofsted Scraps One-Word Judgements: A New Era for School Assessments? Why has Ofsted decided to ditch its one-word school ratings? For years, Ofsted’s one-word judgements—such as “Outstanding” or “Inadequate”—have been a staple of the UK’s education system. However, these simplistic labels have often been criticised for failing to capture the complexity of school performance. Now, in a landmark reform, these single-word ratings have been scrapped with immediate effect. But what led to this change, and what does it mean for schools, parents, and teachers? Read the full article 👇 https://lnkd.in/esSCn7hc How will this impact schools and parents? Join the discussion on the future of education reform.

One-word Ofsted grades scrapped in England's schools! It has been no secret that there has been fierce debate for years about whether one overall grade can sum up the complexity of a school. Ofsted have confirmed they will still inspect schools against the same standards, and reports will continue to give details on specific aspects of how a school is performing, as they do now. What is the point - more politicial grandstanding. What we need is a robut=st framework and the funding to put in the interventions and run the schools properly.

Big Win for Kent Schools - No More 'Inadequate' Ratings! This week has brought great news for Kent's education sector. According to the latest figures, not a single primary school in Kent has been rated as "inadequate" by Ofsted. An impressive 81% of schools fall into the "good" or "outstanding" categories, showing the dedication and quality of education in the county. Inspectors reviewed 127 schools in the 2023/24 period, rating 11 as "outstanding" and several others as "good." Among the top-rated schools are Leigh Hartley in Dartford, Queenborough in Swale, and Jubilee in Maidstone. On a broader scale, Kent boasts 54 "outstanding" schools and 318 "good" ones, solidifying its standing above the national average for primary education. The Department for Education recently announced a significant change, replacing single-word Ofsted grades with a "school report card" system. Opinions are divided on this. While the new system aims to provide parents with a clearer understanding of school performance, some believe it may limit the transparency that helps parents make informed choices. Let's discuss! How do you think these changes will affect our schools? Will this new system better serve the needs of parents and students? https://lnkd.in/e2nGRuCx #Education #KentSchools #PrimaryEducation
