Embracing Change, Driving Innovation It was a pleasure to participate in the recent event dedicated to the technology behind supply chain risk management and mapping - TechSommet in Amsterdam. The collective passion and ingenuity I witnessed in discussing challenges global companies face today will be hard to forget. A key takeaway, underlined by recent McKinsey & Company research, is both startling and enlightening: up to 42% of EBIT can be lost due to supply chain disruptions. Our presentation titled "Unlock Transparency & Future Proof your Supply Chain with AI," which I had the privilege to lead alongside my colleague, and mentor Ulrika Hallström. The presentation aimed to introduce the participants to essence of supply chain transparency and the role of Artificial Intelligence in predicting, preparing, controlling and reporting risks in global supply chains. Chicago was a great backdrop for us to kick off the new Kinaxis Supply Chain Unplugged series we've launched, where we bring together #supplychain innovators for intimate, peer-to-peer conversations. I was delighted to serve as the master of ceremonies for our event yesterday, co-sponsored with EY and Microsoft and held at the EY Digital Operations Hub at MxD. Emma Rolfe and I had a fireside chat about their AI journey at Colgate-Palmolive, and I always appreciate her thoughtful perspective, such as the need to simultaneously build up but also manage the excitement about AI. She talked about successes but also insights from important ways humans still deliver critical value by collaborating. Emma and I enjoyed a conversation at dinner with our partner from EY Arif Mohammed, with whom I've had the pleasure of working for several years. Arif has been key to drive this partnership together. Mark Heidenreich gave a tour of EY's innovation work at MxD. Andrew Bell gave an opening keynote to share our vision at Kinaxis, Mike Walker arrived just in time (due to Crowdstrike disruptions) to paint a picture of the impact Microsoft sees from GenAI. Greg Toornman from AGCO wasn't so lucky, but in spite of inability to get a flight to be there in person, he gamely participated virtually on our panel on the future of supply chain, along with Raja Chalasani of Westlake and Ashutosh Dekhne from EY. My key takeaways: 1. We have an imperative to act to evolve our supply chains, between demands from both boards and the planet. 2. #AI is also an imperative but an incredible enabler that will transform supply chains. 3. Bringing people together to address common challenges is more important than ever, as all our panelists validated, an objective well met by the conversations throughout. Emma and I are teaming up again as part of a virtual panel for an event next week on AI, but that's another post for another day!

I'm off to Orlando for the Gartner Supply Chain/Xpo this weekend! While my kids might be jealous of the Disney setting as they study for their college finals, I'm there to meet up with former colleagues, partners, and other supply chain experts.
