We like to say we are powered by purpose. The products we make, the services we provide, and the support that gets extended to over 4,000 people each year go hand in hand with outcomes for people like Terrence, who said "the day you come to Alphapointe is one of the worst of your life." His admission is related to the act of accepting – reluctantly - the loss of sight ... and the need for assistance in regaining independence. The thing is, the act of getting on a bus, of learning technology, of understanding new ways to use computers, smart phones, or even navigating the workplace ... those tie back to occupational therapy and rehabilitation, which also tie back to those products we first mentioned. Those products don’t just provide jobs for people with vision loss. They also help support Alphapointe’s mission of serving the vision loss community in a variety of ways. We are a business. But that business puts us in the business of serving people with vision loss so they can find their way back to meaningful work and an independent life.

Are we not already seeing this on an increasing scale anyway? Super-partnerships and national providers are becoming ever-more common, so I'm failing to see the groundbreaking wisdom of recommending something that is already on the increase. The caveat that it's not mandatory though is key.. this would never work in rural areas and it fails to take into account differences in culture, approach, values, ethos etc. Super-partnerships work when you have a collective set of values, but some practices are just better of working independently... PCNs are there to bridge that gap. #gpjobs #nhsjobs #generalpractice #primarycare #menloparkprimarycare Menlo Park Recruitment

Looking to attract the best support workers? In adult care services, finding exceptional support workers can make all the difference. 🎯 Start by creating a welcoming and inclusive company culture. Prospective employees often seek workplaces where they feel valued and supported. Promote your team's achievements and highlight the positive aspects of working with your organisation, such as continuous professional development opportunities and a diverse, dynamic work environment. Next, focus on the power of referrals and community outreach. 🤝 Encourage your current staff to refer quality candidates by offering referral bonuses. Partner with local colleges and universities to find graduates passionate about the care sector. And don't forget about social media! Platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook are excellent for showcasing your company culture and attracting potential staff. Finally, provide comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities. 🏆 Support workers thrive in environments that invest in their growth. Implement robust training programmes that cover not just the basics but also specialised skills in dementia care, chronic illnesses, and mental health support. By fostering continuous learning, you'll inspire loyalty and attract those who are committed to long-term careers in care.
