A lot of agent recruiting, comes down to math. We have an agent who was doing 100k in GP a month as a w2. He texted me today he is going to be making more money as an agent doing 20k in GP a month. He’s a savage seller so he will get back up there soon, and when he hits 40k in GP he will be making about 350k a year. There is a lot of talk about pizza parties, culuture, ping pong, etc. Who has the best tech, etc. But most of the w2 reps I talk to who are wanting to become agents are focused on the money and the freedom to work from home and be their own boss. One of my favorite questions I get asked is “what are the kpi requirements”, or “ what hours do I have to be working” There is none, and whatever hours you want to work to make the money you want. The best analogy is it’s like being a real estate agent for Keller Williams. You get that back end support, but it’s your business. It’s not for everyone, but if you want to bet on yourself and get paid what you believe you are worth there is nothing better and I’d love to chat! #agents #recruiting #logistics #trucking

What happens if a new inexperienced person joins your team as a financial services sales rep and then quits before finishing their probation period? 🤔 Let’s say, after two months of work? 🙄 This actually means a huge loss for the business: first of all it’s the time spent on recruitment, onboarding and adaptation of that particular employee, as well as the time spent on the same actions with the new employee who will come next. 😫 In the financial services industry, this issue is especially painful, as the average time of new sales reps adaptation ranges from 3 to 6 months. And there are many more industries where this problem is also relevant. I frequently felt trapped in the car business. Most car sales people: • Want opportunities to grow their careers. • Have a hard time finding similar 6-figure positions. • Want to take a risk but money plays a factor. We live in a fast paced environment. Money comes fast, but time goes faster. Resonates? 🔰 The Journey of an Appointment Setter Mat had always wanted a career where she could connect with people and make an impact. 🔆 She felt excited yet unsure when she got hired as an appointment setter at a small but ambitious startup. “What if I am not good enough? What if I can’t handle rejection?” she thought. But Mat knew this was a chance to prove herself and grow, so she took a deep breath and decided to give it her all. Mat realized her job wasn’t just about booking meetings but building connections. That perspective gave her purpose, even though she didn’t feel confident. The first few weeks were tough. Every morning, Mat would sit at her desk with her list of potential leads, feeling both eager and nervous. She’d rehearse her opening lines before dialing. “Hi, this is Mat from Motomart” she’d say, hoping her voice didn’t give away her anxiety. “I came across your company and thought we might be able to help. Do you have a minute to chat?” Sometimes, the conversations flowed naturally, and she could schedule a meeting. And other times, she heard a “Not interested” before the line cut off. She kept going. Do big IT companies with playbooks really help new salespeople? I'm convinced they all do. I get the playbook thing. A similar methodology built companies like MacDonalds but it doesn't give people the autonomy to learn skills themselves. It tells people what to do/ They follow the manual, are successful and when they leave they don't have transferable skills they need. They only have skills that are specifically suitable for the environment they've just been in. SaaS software with a 'try before you buy' sales model further magnifies the problem and unless the IT sales industry is careful, we could easily have a load of 2nd jobbers unable to perform in their next role, particularly if the sale is different (which it almost certainly will be). I think that's why some 2nd jobbers do 6 solid years with their first employer then fail with their second. To be clear though, I'm not against playbooks. I'm not against going to work for a big company early in your career. The point is this....make sure you learn why and how you're being successful rather than just following the manual.

I’m so blessed to be a part of my clients’ lives. Just in the last week: Client 1: Client gets laid off. Starts a business. Gets a new job offer. Takes the job. Continuing the side hustle. More planning opportunities as he is now a business owner plus he has a steady income. Client 2: Has felt unappreciated in terms of what he is paid for his responsibility at work. New job offer comes in with a salary equal to his old OTE. PLUS upside that can likely double his income through sales. Client 3: Just a killer sales rep who’s unlocked a new role paying him 35% more than his last role. Client 4: Sold their rental property for a big gain & needs to reallocate/reinvest funds to align with their goals. Anyway… It just doesn’t get much better than seeing your clients win. I’m grateful to be apart of such important decisions in their lives. Now the fun part on how we manage this new money. 💪
