When you're asked to implement disability inclusion practices, it's not an added burden. It's simply upholding basic human rights. #WeAreBillionStrong #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityRights #Accessibility #Ableism #Equity #Equality #HumanRights

Most accommodations are under $1000 and half of those cost $0 As a side note chairs are accommodations for those without their own chairs and lighting is an accommodation for seeing people. I could list more but will run out of room.

Well said and that also means don’t tick the boxes for a social media badge either when you don’t do it behind the scenes

Completely agree that inclusion should be a basic right for everyone. However, a company asking you to implement disability inclusion practices, feels like an exercise to tick a box rather than make things more inclusive. #Inclusion should continue to evolve, and yes you can start with certain practices to be more inclusive. It’s definitely not a burden, but it should be ingrained in organisations to be inclusive and build the tools to resolve any problems that need to be addressed. Starting with low hanging fruit on access workplace accommodations could lead to more inclusion for everyone and building the psychological safety for everyone to share information about themselves if they want.
