Founding Father, James Madison, one of the early American leaders I refer to in my book - The Shocking Disconnect - penned these potent words in "The Federalist" #57: "The aim of every political constitution is, or ought to be, first to obtain for rulers [those] who possess the most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of the society, and in the next place, to take the most effectual precautions for keeping them virtuous while they continue to hold their public trust.” Let's apply this in Election 2024!

Accountability is the word.

A DEMOCRAT PARTY CIVIL WAR? It is beginning to look like a civil war is looming within the Democrat Party between the political elite calling for Biden to step aside and the base calling for 4 more years for Biden. The question is, however, is it really the base or just a portion of the base. If you listen to Joy Reid, the Black base want Biden whereas the rich, white, male Democrats want Biden to step aside. Reid makes a good case for why Black Americans want Biden, but the question unaddressed by Reid is how to get that Black base out to vote for its best interests. https://lnkd.in/e-VarKh5

In summary, the key criticisms center around the perceived lack of representation, selective application of standards, and the institutions serving as tools for Western powers - issues that the critics argue are deeply entrenched and resistant to meaningful reform. Addressing these concerns would require significant political will and compromise from all major powers involved.
