Better together: The joint advantage of GSort and MSizer for materials processing in emerging markets. A powerful example of how adapting to the material, rather than forcing the material to adapt to the process, can drive both efficiency and environmental responsibility. For example, the GSort has redefined dry densimetric separation by eliminating the need for water, making it ideal for industries moving away from water-intensive processes. This concept opens up processing to materials that are difficult or impractical to handle with traditional wet methods. Adjustments to airflow and inclination give the GSort precise control over material separation - whether handling minerals, organics or complex mixed feeds. On the other hand, the MSizer's features are best suited for creating adaptive, precise solutions to complex industrial requirements. Its multi-deck design brings a new level of flexibility to screening, optimizing both throughput and screening accuracy for industries that require precise sizing. By processing materials in layers, it achieves high quality output with reduced wear, improving durability while keeping operating costs in check. This layering also allows the MSizer to handle a wide range of particle sizes, increasing its adaptability to fluctuating processing requirements. The strategic combination of GSort and MSizer addresses an industry-wide alternative for versatile, sustainable and cost-effective processing. As resource extraction becomes more regulated and costly, these machines offer reduced environmental impact while maintaining high processing standards. They also provide a responsive system that can scale or adapt to changing market demands, expanding opportunities in industrial applications. #gsort #msizer #screening #sorting #recycling #materialprocessing

#Antifog #Films & #Sheets Market The global antifog films & sheets market size was valued at $3.87 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $5.34 billion by 2030, growing at a #CAGR of 5.5% during the forecast period. Antifog films and sheets are #specializedpackagingmaterials designed to prevent the formation of condensation or fogging on the surface of #transparentpackaging, such as #plasticcontainers or films, when they come into contact with moisture or temperature variations. This fogging can obstruct visibility, making it difficult for consumers to see the contents of the package clearly. Antifog films and sheets typically contain additives or coatings that help to reduce surface tension, allowing water droplets to spread evenly across the surface rather than forming droplets that cause fogging. These materials find widespread applications in food packaging, particularly for products stored in refrigerated or frozen conditions, where temperature differentials can lead to condensation. By maintaining clarity and visibility, antifog films and sheets enhance the aesthetic appeal of packaged products and improve the overall consumer experience. Additionally, they play a crucial role in preserving product quality by ensuring that vital information, such as expiration dates or product branding, remains clearly visible to consumers throughout the packaging's shelf life. By Material Type, the #polyesterfilms segment dominated the market share owing to the unique properties and applications of polyester materials. Polyester films offer exceptional clarity, strength, and dimensional stability, making them ideal for various packaging applications where transparency and durability are paramount. By Geography, the #AsiaPacific leads as the primary market due to the region's vast population, rapid urbanization, and expanding middle-class segment. I had the pleasure of attending the second webinar of the #PerfecoatProject, a collaboration of various groups working on the #substitution of #fossil-based components in #coatings, #paints etc with ingredients from #natural sources. “The pursuit of a climate-neutral Europe and a truly circular economy requires attention to virtually all fields of production if fossil-based materials are to be eliminated. This relates not only to manufactured goods but also the paints and coatings used to protect them; of the almost 1 million tonnes of paints and coating produced in Europe each year, more than 80% are derived from fossil resources. Reducing the impact of these coatings would represent a major advance in Europe’s #climate ambitions. To address this challenge, the PERFECOAT project will develop and validate a new generation of industrial wood and decorative coatings with significantly more than 25% bio-based components. The project will address three important markets for coatings, high-volume, UV-curable clear coatings, waterborne trim paints for DIY and waterborne wall paints. These coatings will reach, and even surpass, the current quality and sustainability standards. When successful, the PERFECOAT project will be able to offer bio-based coating ingredients from climate neutral sources and processes. This will help encourage the uptake of sustainable coatings, with a positive impact for the environment and help mitigating climate change.” It’s another great initiative in addressing the universal consumption of #oil derivatives in materials, rather than purely the question of #energy (which garners significantly more airtime from the media) Amelie Skopp, Srdjan Gavrilovic, and Anders Odum presented their develop of using bacteria, yeast and fungi to convert bio feedstocks into materials not only capable of replacing traditional components, but with added functionality as well. It is fascinating work that deserves more recognition. While #sustainable energy is critical, replacing oil and gas based material feedstocks is also an essential part of the puzzle. Please see the consortium website for more information including recordings of the webinars and the presentations given. https://lnkd.in/eXVG_6zZ
