Robot assisted Laparoscopic Frey's Procedure - done for Chronic Pancreatitis - In this procedure, the entire pancreatic duct is laid open, the stones in the duct and pancreatic parenchyma are removed. The head of pancreas is cored and then the entire length of pancreas is anastomosed (sutured) with Jejunum. The articulation of the Robotic instruments is unparalleled, made the anastomosis easier, far more ergonomically efficient and quicker than the traditional Laparoscopic technique

As we all gloat about what a robotic bronch can reach, we often underplay what the good old linear EBUS in our very own hands maneuvered by precise human control can do for us. I often say this to my fellows, and I’ll say again, “EBUS is one of the best and precise tech we have in pulmonology, if you learn it well”! This is a message worth repeating. It reminds us that the fundamentals of Cardiac Electrophysiology have always been rooted in the surrogate value of electrograms for the behavior of electrical impulses in cardiac tissue. They are essential in the 3D construct of slow and fast conduction pathologies both manifest and concealed. The accuracy of wavefronts are dependent on the abundance of acquired measurements that are processed with reliable discriminating technology that preserves the native characteristics of cardiac potentials. Understanding the methodology will empower the user with confidence and enable electrocardiographic imaging to achieve the highest quality possible.
