Hey everyone, Excited to introduce "SmartGuide: Assistive Glasses for the Blind," a project I worked on with my talented teammates Alishba Saleem,Laiba Iqbal and Omar Shahid. These innovative glasses are designed to significantly enhance mobility for individuals with visual impairments. These innovative glasses utilize the following components to detect obstacles in the user's path and provide real-time auditory feedback: Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04) 555 Timer IC Capacitors (100 μF and 10 μF) Resistor (1K ohm) Preset Potentiometer (10K ohm) Buzzer Switch Battery (3.7V) The SmartGuide glasses can detect obstacles within a range of approximately 20 centimeters. The buzzer's beeping frequency increases as the obstacle gets closer, giving the user an effective indication of its proximity. This technology has the potential to revolutionize assistive devices further, extending beyond glasses to integrate with belts, sticks, and more. The frog team recently worked with XCMR, a UV technology startup with a mission is to combat airborne pathogen transmission. Respiratory PPE technology has not evolved in decades and still relies on filtration as a means of protection. Breathing through a particulate filter is uncomfortable and allows pathogens to remain inside the mask. Disposal of face masks is expensive, represents a biohazard, a safety risk and is environmentally unfriendly. Designed in collaboration with frog XMCR's new wearable UV-C biodefense device reduces risk of infection by inactivating airborne pathogens while providing continuous protection for the user. "With our UV-C technology and frog design's user-centric approach, we're not just creating products, we're shaping the future of personal protection.
