Quick wrap up of Day 1 of Welocalize's Commercial Team Kick Off ▶ a "tectonic shift" Listening especially to our company's leaders in the technology and particularly AI space, I could only grasp probably about 10% of what the advent of AI means to the language industry and its clients. But the little I could grasp already tells me that our CEO Paul Carr is right when he called the upcoming changes in the industry a "tectonic shift" in his keynote this morning. ▶ incredible talent Attracting and retaining super talented employees is for all companies among the really essential aspects, to not only stay but thrive in business (not to the mere benefit of the company, but first and foremost to the benefit of our clients, by the way). Listening to several colleagues made me realize what incredibly talented and smart people we have at Welocalize. Makes me as the 'Average Joe' feel kinda humble next to them... :) ▶ ready to invest in the future (thanks to investors with a vision) We were told we have really great investors - because during a time where we hear about downsizing and cutting budgets among language services providers, our investors agreed to increase budgets for several important aspects. While it seems logical that investors would invest in to the future, we all know that not all investors are equal - and some (many?) are more interested in the short-term rather the long-term gain. Good to know where our investors are on that spectrum. Back with more during and after day 2 tomorrow... :)

Today marks a monumental day for us at Hellon!   We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new brand, a symbol of unity and progress. This is not just a brand launch; it's a pivotal moment where we bring together all our companies under one cohesive identity. Our new brand represents a new horizon for us and our clients, merging our strategy and technology businesses.   Reflecting on my journey with Hellon, it has been an incredible seven years at the helm of our UK operations. Serving as the Managing Director has been a journey filled with growth, challenges, (a few awards), hard work and incredibly fun times!   But now, it's time for a shift in my focus. As I step back from the operational leadership of the UK business, I embrace a new role that looks at the entirety of Hellon Group. As a group co-founder, I am geared up to drive our future global growth, strategy, and integration at a group level together with Jaakko Wäänänen and Janne Tuomikoski.   It's a new chapter with the same amazing team and undiminished passion but with a renewed focus. Our operational leadership has never been in better hands than today with my amazing colleagues Laura Franck, Karoliina Lehtonen, Andreas Pattichis, Lotta Julkunen, Emilia Gustafsson, Alexandra ONeill, Juuso Wäänänen, Kimmo Heikkilä & Maarit Kettunen and their teams.   I am filled with pride when I look at Hellon today. Over 100 professionals strong, we're not just a company; we're a powerhouse of talent serving phenomenal clients globally, from strategy to implementation. Looking back, it’s impossible not to be amazed by the growth and evolution of Hellon as a company.   Despite the challenges that these times present, I remain optimistic.
