Our managing director takes marine coordination so seriously that he matches his jacket to his lines ⛵ On a more serious note, marine coordination is no joke. It requires experience in planning and scheduling to navigate any marine challenges. Being on the water can be a beautiful and thrilling adventure, but when dealing with water, especially in an uncontrolled environment like the ocean, it comes with its dangers. Marine coordination ensures safety as well as an efficient and environmentally responsible use of marine resources and spaces. Even with a plan and a schedule, the water can still be unpredictable, so having someone who knows the water can save lives, prevent accidents, and ensure the success of marine operations by making informed decisions based on experience and real-time observations. Of course, like Ian, it helps if you look good whilst doing it! #MarineCoordination #BoatLife #SailingStyle #NauticalFashion #MaritimeManagement #SeaLife #CaptainStyle #OceanicOutfit #YachtingLife #SailorChic

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 Before heading out on the water, make sure you know the local speed limits and restrictions that apply to the waterways where you plan to operate. You can find this information on the boat ramp signs before you launch. All vessels must always travel at a safe speed. This means you should be able to stop or turn your vessel to avoid any sudden dangers like collisions, injuries, or property damage. Safe speed also depends on the weather, time of day, type of vessel and your operating experience. When judging your speed, always consider: 1. visibility – rain, fog, mist, smoke, glare and night operation. 2. other vessels – busy waterways, vessels within 30 metres, moored or anchored vessels and large commercial vessels. 3. other people – swimmers or people in non-powered craft. 4. how easily your vessel can stop and turn. 5. navigation hazards – unmarked dangers, signs, buoys and damaged marks or lights. 6. shallow water – frequently changing or unpredictable depths.
