Obsessed Storyteller™️: Educator | Marketing | Social Media | Photography

#throwbackThursday to 2016. When I tell people about SOLEcial Studies, a class about the sneaker business, culture and the people that make sneakers cool, oftentimes people look at me with a weird look in their eyes. Well, the culture, which I've been a part of, unknowingly at first, is very diverse and there are people all over the world that make it what it is and admit that they have Obsessive Sneaker Disorder (OSD), for which there is no known cure!😉 Business Insider took a closer look at the reseller market and quickly realized that a young person can create a fun and often lucrative business. Yes, there are negative aspects in the reseller sneaker business- robberies, assaults and murders- so this is why I tell any young person to think about who and where they conduct their business and to take an adult when meeting someone to do a trade or sale. SOLEcial Studies teacher, Fresco Wilson, who taught the class this spring at Mott Hall Bridges Academy, located in Brooklyn, NY, was interviewed and is featured in the article. Please take a moment to read the article and let me know your thoughts. And, if you'd like Sean, Fresco, Steve and me to teach SOLEcial Studies at a school, an after-school program or summer program, please email us at info@osdlive.com, and we'll make it happen! In the meantime, have a powerful day and Walk Good. 👣💯 https://lnkd.in/g8SSVGD4 #SOLEcialStudies #SneakerBusiness #kickstory #sneakerculture #osdlive #sneakers #solecialstudies #obsessivesneakerdisorder #protectourculture
