If you have financial, military, ideological...loyalty to another nation, you should not be allowed to hold public office.
Our Oath of Citizenship is very clear, lets stick to it:
"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America..."
Most countries don't allow dual nationals to be elected because of dual loyalties. We need to this as well.
If you hold elected office or a military commission, you ought to be loyal only to our Constitution....not other nations.
Imagine a dual national from Russia, China, Iran...holding a US government or military position. It would be madness.
The Defense Attaché Office at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok played a crucial role in supporting this mission, showcasing the incredible dedication and coordination of our defense personnel. Their efforts remind us of the power of international collaboration and the unwavering commitment to saving lives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for their bravery and perseverance.
