To meet United States Department of Defense objectives, we align our priorities with those outlined in DOD-wide strategies like the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer's recently released Fulcrum strategy. “It’s called Fulcrum because it sits at the nexus between our national security strategy, our strategic management plans, our big thinking strategies, our workforce implementation strategies,” Principal Deputy DOD CIO Leslie Beavers said during her fireside chat at AFCEA International #TechNetCyber. These four lines of effort show the strategic focus on national security and mission success over enterprise IT. By modernizing networks and computing, we rapidly meet mission needs, while optimizing IT governance enhances efficiency and cost savings. Developing a top-tier cyber workforce ensures we deploy cutting-edge technologies for the warfighter, solidifying our future security and operational dominance. This vision is so great and advances us past the traditional conversations. From the industry side, I #challenge us all to find a common plane in which we can invest on so we may achieve the intent shared here. Let’s strive to put National Security intent above all else.
