Did you know that the LifePak CR2 uses CprCOACH feedback technology, providing CPR coaching on technique and correct depth for both adult and child patients during cardiac arrest? In addition, the CR2 uses ClearVoice technology, which changes its volume in reaction to the volume of the environment, so if the environment noise increases, so does the CR2s volume. Do you know where your local defibrillator is? It's so important to act immediately if someone is in cardiac arrest. For every minute that they don’t receive CPR and have a defibrillator used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%. Public-access defibrillators are designed to be used by the public. Find out where your nearest defibrillator is now by clicking the link below. https://lnkd.in/evXXWJci

An excellent story that illustrates the lifesaving potential of systems of care for cardiac arrest. In this case, there was recognition and activation of the emergency response system, immediate and telecommunicator supported CPR and rapid defibrillation, followed by high-quality advanced life support and post-resuscitation care. It takes a system to save a life. https://lnkd.in/g3m23E37

Quick action is vital to help save a life. While only about 50% of Sudden cardiac arrest victims initially require defibrillation, all will require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to keep oxygenated blood moving to the brain and other vital organs. If you perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) within minutes, you can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival.

Dear friends, in case of cardiac arrest, always remember 5 metrics of high-quality CPR performance (AHA 2020): 1.Achieving a rate of 100–120 compressions per minute 2. Compressing the chest to a depth of 2–2.4 inches (5–6 centimeters) 3. Avoiding leaning on the chest to allow for full chest wall recoil after each compression 4. Minimizing pauses in compressions (chest compression fraction > 60%) 5. Avoiding excessive ventilation by maintaining 2 breaths to every 30 compressions without advanced airway or 10 breaths per minute with advanced airway Don't forget to call for help, and make sure that you and your surroundings are safe, and the patient is not responsive, before attempting CPR. So, what's your favorite CPR song?
