The Peruvian Ministry of Production (Ministerio de la Producción del Perú - #Produce) reported that only a month and a half since the second 2024 #fishing #season began, the accumulated #anchovy #landings in the north-central zone of the country reached 1,645,482 tons. 🇵🇪🐟👌 🎯 This is 65.56% of the 2.51 million tons quota allocated for the period. 📢 "This level of productivity not only reaffirms the importance of the sector but also guarantees the supply of #raw #material for the #fishmeal and #fishoil industry," the Peruvian Ministry of Production said. 📌 A total of 300 #vessels are operating in the designated areas, distributed in the regions of Piura, La Libertad, Ancash, Lima, and Ica.  📌 Regarding #processing #plants, TASA led with 22% of receptions, followed by Copeinca (19%), Pesquera Exalmar SAA (17%), Pesquera Diamante (11%), and Hayduk Corporación (9%). 🟣🔵 Read full details here 👉 https://lnkd.in/de75KT66

🛠 Project Highlight: Installing Extra Tin Shade Under Paddy Silo in AKIJ Essential In the Parboiling section of AKIJ Essential, the open space under the paddy silo created operational inefficiencies. Dust from the area affected the PS gate sensor and belt conveyor, while labor was required twice a month for cleaning. To address this issue, our team initiated the installation of an extra tin shade under the paddy silo. This simple yet effective solution eliminated the dust problem, reducing sensor and conveyor downtime and negating the need for frequent cleaning. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 My boss frowned when I introduced measures to label each and every pallet in the fertilizer store. This involves my accounting department preparing the signage before the delivery of the fertilizers. The storekeeper would then need to place the signage on each pallet. Thankfully, he allowed me to implement what I believe is necessary. Here are the benefits of labeling each pallet: 1️⃣ You won't have to second-guess the stock received date anymore. The signage contains all the information you need. We also managed to trace which driver was responsible for the residual palm kernel shell found on the pallets. 2️⃣ This will facilitate the FIFO concept. In the past, only the storekeeper knew which pallets came in first. If he remembered incorrectly, then ... 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘩 𝘭𝘢𝘩. I believe that any measures we introduce should serve at least one (1) meaningful purpose to justify the additional workload they impose on others. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤. As such, I always ask myself :- 1️⃣ whether the measures I plan to implement are too much of a hassle and 2️⃣ what benefits we gain collectively as an organization. #Sarawak #Plantation
