🔹 Exploring a dTIMS Case Study: Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) 🔹 In 2021, #HDOT officially selected #Deighton as the supplier for their new pavement management system, permitting the use of dTIMS BA in the agency to manage all pavement assets. HDOT valued the way dTIMS operates to make calculations and optimal recommendations and was eager to implement an automated PMS. Transportation Asset Management has continuously been applied to a variety of assets. Within the Operations community, there is a growing recognition for the need to apply asset management to traffic devices. This recent publication by the TMC Pooled Fund Study explores how asset management can be applied to Traffic Management Systems (TMS), which comprises of a complex, integrated blend of hardware, software, processes, and people performing a range of functions and actions and have been deployed enhanced to assist agencies in fulfilling the ever-increasing transportation needs of travelers (e.g., travel times), service providers (e.g., transit, emergency services), other agencies, and the public (e.g., incidents).

🔹 dTIMS Case Study - VAMIS 🔹 The State of Vermont has been using dTIMS since 1994 to manage their 3,122 mi long network of paved roads. Vermont has been producing evidence-based pavement management programs since they first started using dTIMS and they publish their performance metrics on an agency-wide dashboard. In 2018, the State issued an RFP for the implementation of the Vermont Asset Management Information System (VAMIS). In 2019, Deighton Associates Ltd. was selected as the preferred vendor to deliver all items in the scope of work for VAMIS.
