Nursing is more than a career; it is a calling! A calling is what Merriam-Webster defines as a strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine influence. There is also a quote that says - "your career is what you’re paid for, your calling is what you’re made for". As a multi-passionate nurse - we were made to walk in our gifts of helps and healing. We are divinely inspired and passionate about: Our Career - Caring for Patients (Directly or Indirectly) Our Community - As a Catalyst for Change Our Connections - (family, friends, and faith): Concerned about their Well-Being Does this resonate with you? Are you a multi-passionate nurse? Let me know in the comments. #selfcarefornurses

Hey Nurse, Do you sometimes feel pulled in every direction on the road that leads to nowhere? Stuck in a cycle of exhaustion, frustration, and guilt you didn't sign up for? Your sacred calling to nursing feels more like a discouraging chore. 👉🏼But the truth is, it's not you. The system is flawed, not your purpose or commitment. The current dynamic has you running on empty, giving all of you to your work, leaving scraps for your family and ultimately yourself. You were born for more than just work and stress. Your meaning and value is so much more than your work as a nurse. If you keep waiting for work to “calm down” or “get back to normal” you might be waiting a long time. The time to change your trajectory is NOW. Ignite the change you want to see in YOURSELF first, then you will have the courage and capacity to create the change you want to see in healthcare and reap its benefits. You're the leader your patients need and your family deserves. How to do start to make this change? NOT by doing more. By prioritizing REST. Rest isn't a luxury, it's your inalienable right. When we rest we reconnect with our humanity. And what healthcare desperately needs now is more humanity. ❤️ Let's rewrite the narrative and future of nursing together, one rested nurse at a time. #nursesofinstagram #wellness #nursecoach #stress #healthcareleaders

✅𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞'𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧👇 In a world often overwhelmed with fast-paced routines and technology, there are moments that stand out as genuine and heartfelt. One such moment is when a nurse, often considered the unsung hero of healthcare, displays extraordinary compassion. The phrase “The nurse is a real angel” perfectly captures the essence of these selfless individuals. Nurses go beyond their professional duties, becoming emotional pillars for patients and their families during vulnerable times. This particular nurse’s reaction was not only heartwarming but also priceless. Whether it was through a simple gesture, a comforting word, or an empathetic glance, her response was one that could bring comfort and peace to anyone in need. Nurses often work long hours under immense stress, yet many continue to display a deep sense of kindness and care that feels almost angelic. The impact of such a nurse extends far beyond the immediate act. Patients often carry these memories with them, remembering how a nurse’s compassion made a difficult time more bearable. It’s these moments that remind us of the power of human connection and the importance of kindness in healthcare. Truly, the nurse’s angelic reaction is not just a reflection of her professionalism, but of her humanity. follow me for more such__Rihan ahmad #CompassionInCare #NursesAreAngels #HealthcareHeroes #PricelessMoments

FUN FRIDAY! Collaboration By Shelene Giles, CEO FIG Education The professional experience, both primary and specialty, of a Life Care Planner serves as the foundation of a Life Care Plan. Please allow me to explain. Nurses use a holistic approach to the assessment of the injured individual, their support systems, their environment, and equipment needs. Physicians also take a holistic approach with a focus on helping the patient return to living a full and functional life. Physiatrists, for example, coordinate the patient’s care with a multi-disciplinary team of other doctors and specialists, therapists, nurses, psychologists, and adaptive technologists. Physiatrists are knowledgeable about the medical requirements relevant to the injured individual’s future care needs. Collaboration supports the various treatment recommendations. Whatever the primary practice of the Life Care Planner, their background and experience is the basis for the preparation of the Life Care Plan recommendations. Collaboration provides the support for recommendations and strategies contained in the Life Care Plan. These are designed for the goals of the Life Care Plan which are manage symptoms, lessen complications, achieve maximum functional ability, and promote the highest quality of life. #nurse #ot #pt #doctors #Legalnurseconsultant #Casemanagement

Every Nurse Has a Story. It's Time to Listen. Kaden Kalt What is the most important trait or quality a nurse can possess? And why? Compassion. Dealing with people who are sick requires so much compassion. You have to be willing to set aside your feelings in order to feel what your patient is feeling. As a nurse, I think compassion is a huge quality that is necessary for working in this field. Compassion allows you to engage with your patients as a whole fully and to see them as human suffering rather than just another patient. It allows for a connection to the human race that is vital when caring for people’s health problems." Describe a situation where you were especially proud of your healthcare team. "There have been many times that I am proud of my team. It is hard to pick one situation. Working in the ED requires a vast amount of teamwork each day. I am particularly proud of them when we can all come together to do what is best for the patient but also what is best for us as coworkers." We believe these stories are not just inspiring—they’re powerful reminders of the humanity and dedication within the healthcare industry. That’s why we’re launching our #NursesWeek social media campaign: Every Nurse Has a Story. It's Time to Listen. We also want to hear from you. Have you been touched by the incredible care of a nurse? Did a nurse go above and beyond for you or a loved one? Share your #NurseAppreciation story with us in the comments below. 💌

Something I do not talk enough about is how I consider Papa to be a robust benefit. Through the same partnership, we address different needs that can directly impact a person’s access to health resources. Whether is transportation to and from the doctors, picking your medication, taking you to the grocery store, or even staying at home to clean and rearrange furniture. Think of what would happen if you could not keep your house clean, if you had no one to take you to an appointment, or if you had to survive with limited food in your pantry and worry it will run out before the end of the month. At Papa, we add a trusted human that genuinely wants to see you be the best version of yourself! When you have what you need to be and stay healthy, you thrive. #healthequity
