Delegation of the European Union to Myanmar’s Post

Last but not least, Aung Shan Htay is the third Myanmar student that received the Erasmus MJMD scholarship for this year. He is a structural engineer with over six years of experience in civil engineering, from PC concrete production to structural analysis and design of underground structures in Japan. His curiosity in solid mechanics problems and software development for engineering applications has motivated him to explore an emerging scientific domain, called Computational Mechanics. EU is supporting his advancement in this new area with an EMJMD scholarship for an intensive two-year European Master in Advanced Solid Mechanics where he will be trained in areas of advanced mathematics, computer science, and applied mechanics, and how to combine these disciplines to solve solid mechanics problems. Aung Shan will begin his studies at Université de Lille, and then continue his Masters across several European countries (Belgium, Poland, Greece, Italy). This opportunity will allow him to enrich his academic knowledge and expertise, while giving him the chance to discover different cultures. Are you interested in applying for a scholarship?
