"Preparedness, when properly pursued, is a way of life, not a sudden, spectacular program." – Spencer W. Kimball.
Delek Logistics recently completed our fourth large-scale drill of the year in El Dorado, which included a comprehensive tabletop exercise for our American Station. We were pleased to welcome Clean Harbors as external stakeholders, recognizing that any incident at this station could directly affect their operations.
The drill also featured participation from key representatives, including the El Dorado Police and Fire Departments, Union County Office of Emergency Management, the Arkansas Department of Energy’s Oil and Gas Division, TAS (our Oil Spill Response Organization), and GHD (our spill management consultant).
Under the leadership of Incident Commander Chris Yeager, the team navigated a complex scenario that involved the evacuation of the Union County Jail. This exercise proved invaluable, offering critical insights into the dynamics of operating within a unified command structure and significantly enhancing our preparedness and response capabilities. #preparndess #DelekUS #training
