Exciting news! The whitepaper “When will we have a clone? An industry perspective on the typical CLD timeline” has been published in BioTechnology Progress. Cell line development (CLD) represents a complex but highly critical process during the development of a biological drug. To provide alignment and an industry benchmark on this crucial workflow, a series of benchmarking surveys were conducted covering the three major stages: pre-transfection, transfection, and single cell cloning and lead clone selection. This paper provides unique and comprehensive insights into the time, resources and technologies involved across the major CLD activities from an industry perspective. It is unique in both the breadth of the questions and the number of contributing companies surveyed and was first shared earlier this week at BioProcess International US West.
