Many hail from villages where formal schooling halts abruptly at the eighth grade, compelling them to travel significant distances for further education. The societal norms often chained to antiquated beliefs, particularly about girls—where education is frequently viewed as unnecessary as they are destined only for marriage—further complicates their path to learning. Yet, amidst these echoes of limitation, there's an unwavering spirit of resilience. These children, especially girls, are driven by the possibility of a different life—a life where education is the key to unlocking their true potential. Supported by initiatives like Project Udaan from Tresna, we are not just bridging physical distances but breaking down generations of barriers. Our commitment is clear: to ensure that every child, regardless of gender or geography, can reach for their dreams without being held back by the confines of circumstance. Achievements Since the Initiation Over the years, the government has launched various schemes to promote the welfare of the girl child: Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child): This flagship initiative works toward improving the sex ratio at birth (SRB) and ensuring access to education for girls. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: A savings scheme aimed at securing the financial future of the girl child. CBSE Udaan: A program designed to encourage girls to pursue higher education in science and engineering fields. These initiatives have collectively worked toward removing barriers to education, health, and safety for girls across the country. Challenges That Persist Despite these efforts, challenges remain. Issues such as: Gender-based violence Limited access to education in rural areas Societal stigmas related to women’s empowerment Economic barriers continue to hinder the progress of millions of girls. Addressing these challenges requires collective action from governments, communities, and individuals alike.

Project Udaan 2.0 is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering underprivileged youth across India by providing access to quality online education from premier institutes at almost zero cost. Endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, this project ensures full transparency for donors through real-time dashboards, monthly audits, and quarterly progress reports.
