These meals are protein-packed, nutrient-dense, naturally gluten-free, balanced, and will keep you well-fueled as you power through! WATER TABLE  BREAKFAST - 3 Eggs, Potatoes w/ Chicken Sausage - Garden Omelet, Add Grilled Marinated Chicken + Side of Potatoes - Steel Cut Oatmeal with Fruit, 2-3 eggs + a side of Bacon or Chicken Sausage DINNER - Branzino Entree + Butter Beans - Chilean Seabass Entree w/ Mashed Potatoes - Prime Filet w/ Asparagus & Mashed Potatoes PETE'S SUNSET GRILLE LUNCH  - Chicken wings (request grilled, no breading) with a side of Mixed Greens - Fish Tacos (request grilled, no breading) - Salmon Poke Bowl, no Ohana Sauce SURVIVAL TIPS - Leave the bar by 12 and get your sleep.  - Sneak away to your room and take a pause or two throughout the day to decompress, even for just 5-10 min. You can meditate or just do absolutely nothing. - The DRIPBar and Hydration Room are less than a mile from the hotel. If you’re dehydrated, drained and experiencing headaches from traveling/drinking, get an IV drip to help you through!  - Go on a walk on the boardwalk along the beach or opt for a mini yoga session in your room. Gone are the days of swimming in oil – I now start with a fragrant base of little oil, chopped onions and bell peppers, letting them release their natural sweetness before adding the tomatoes. And guess what? The flavor is even deeper! Then, I sneak in a whole army of chopped vegetables- they add incredible texture and nutrients without sacrificing that beloved tomatoey goodness. My family still devours it, and they secretly love the extra veggie boost! Health is definitely the new wealth, and with a healthy body, there’s no stop to what can be accomplished on the earth. Some of my favourite tips for eating healthy meals on a budget include; – Create a meal plan that’s made up of meals that are prepared with common ingredients. – Always shop with a list – If you can, shop your produce at local markets – Shop vegetables that are grown in Nigeria…they are more affordable. – When the budget is tight, Knorr seasoning cubes, some pepper and salt are all you need to season...

As I mentioned before, I just got back from NYC… and I want to share my personal experience with trying to eat healthy in the States 🌎 As someone committed to a healthy lifestyle, I thought I’d be prepared this time in the U.S. But honestly, it’s been more challenging than I expected! Here’s what I’ve noticed…👇 1️⃣ It’s almost impossible to escape fried food 🍟 Whether it’s sandwiches, veggies, or even “healthy” options, so much is fried or cooked in TONS OF OIL. I’d try to order something that seemed nutritious, only to find it loaded with unnecessary fats... My delicious Philly Cheesesteake Sandwich for example… It made me realize that what you see isn’t always what you get. 2️⃣ Oil in everything… Everywhere 🛢️ Portions are already larger than I am used to, but the hidden oils and fats were surprising. I’d order a simple dish and end up with a plate swimming in oil, making it hard to stick to my usual habits without feeling like I needed a manual to navigate the menu. I ALWAYS asked “no oil/butter please”, but nope. That also did not work. 3️⃣ Fresh options are harder to find than you’d think 🥗 I assumed it would be easy to find fresh fruits, veggies, and clean proteins. Instead, I found that processed and fried foods dominate the “quick options.” Even salads often come with high-fat dressings or extras that add up fast! 💡 What I’ve Learned Eating healthy in the U.S is definitely a different and very pricey experience, but I’ve found a few strategies that help: • Asking for meals to be grilled or baked rather than fried. • Requesting dressings and sauces on the side!!!! I always do this, not just in the U.S. because like this you have better control in general… • Picking spots that emphasize fresh ingredients (even if it takes a bit of research). Finding nutritious options here takes some effort, but it’s been a learning experience… and a reminder that a healthy lifestyle requires staying mindful wherever you are. 🌟 Anyone else feel this way when traveling?
